POV Helena
December
Beginning of December. I'm doing some college work and testing. Alicia, Louis and the other students of the faculty are finishing the paintings, which will be exhibited on the seventeenth of December, at the paintings fair, of the Plastic Arts students. All my friends said they will, except Roger. He even bought the invitation to attend the paintings fair. I'm very hurt. Bri told me that he always talks to Rog and that at some point he will make up with me. Bri told me not to give up and not be sad because everything will work out. Sometimes I get the impression that Bri is hiding something from me. Clare also said she does not know anything, because Rog will not go to the picture show.
"My brother, when he wants, he's very closed, he does not show his feelings, Helena, and when it comes to you, he's very mysterious lately," Clare said.
I found it very strange ...
The time was passing. I had class in college until December 14th. Classes return in the second half of February.
Finally arrived December seventeenth, Friday. Eight in the evening. The trade show is being held at the Royal Holloway campus, University of London. Bri brought me home, with the three pictures I painted, to sell. We arrived an hour before the fair began to assemble the paintings. The boys recorded two more songs for the band's album and returned the recordings in January. Bri has been a good friend. We went out a few times, went to the cafeteria, to the movies and also went out with our friends and whenever Rog is present he does not talk to me. I wish Rog was here today, but by the way, he's not coming.
"Your pictures are incredible, Helena. I'm sure they'll buy it, you'll make good money, "Bri said, smiling.
- Thanks my friend. I really wanted my parents to be here as well, but they work until nineteen at the hospital before taking a group vacation, "he said with a sigh.
"They are not physically present, but, spiritually, be assured, my friend," smiled my friend.
I found Alicia and Louis that were further ahead, also exposing their beautiful paintings.
Eight in the evening. The fair was officially open to the public. My friends were slowly arriving and were delighted with the paintings. They said they just do not buy my paintings because they do not have enough money. I fully understand them, they are university students, unemployed, who are still struggling for an internship, but only their presence here to encourage me is essential. Clare, Vanessa, Sarah, Mary, Veronica, John, Freddie, Tim, Les, Luke, Victor and Bri hug me and wish me luck.
"Your pictures are incredible, my dear friend," Freddie smiled. "You know I'm a fan of good art and I tell you that you have a great future. His paintings will surely be in the largest exhibitions and museums in the world in the coming years. Congratulations on your great talent. If I had money, I would surely buy that picture.
At that moment Freddie pointed to the picture of a landscape I painted.
- The picture is incredible. Said Freddie.
- Thank you, my friend - I smile - One day you will have lots of money to buy my paintings.
"I'm sure I'll have a baby, because I will not be a regular Rock Star, I'll be a legend," Freddie smiled and I smiled.
A short time later a man arrived who was delighted with my landscape picture and bought it. I was so happy. I made a good amount, with the first frame. I hope I sell the other two. I'm looking at the other two frames that I miss selling and I get to look at my painting once again. Suddenly, I realize that the place where my friends are, they stop talking for a moment and there is a grave silence.
