Jex got up and left.Slamming the chair against the table.Dad didn't say nothing but I knew he was angry.Once Jex left Josie didn't wanted to eat.Princeton tried to make her smile but all she kept asking was where was daddy.It was almost bed time and I was getting Josie in bed when the door came wide open.Jex came in with a box."Hello princess" Jex said ignoring me,Little Josie than got up and ran to him.
"I got you something" He said tapping the box
"What is it!" Josie jumped up and down
"Uh.Can you leave us alone for a bit?" Jex whispered as he looked up to meet my eyes
"No.Josie it's bed time and am not going to say it again" And like that I put my feet down. Josie frowned as she slowly made her way to her bed.I didn't care what her or Jex thought.I was tired and all I wanted to do was go to bed. "Don't worry" Jex whispered to Josie as he came closer to him "Tomorrow in the morning well open it" Jex than tickled Josie,Making her smile. "Sleep tight baby girl"
He kissed his daughter goodnight and like that he left.He didn't make any eye contact with me,Which made me feel bad.I head to my room and Jex was there lying shirtless.He had his eyes close but I knew he wasn't asleep yet. "Why are you being a bitch to me and Josie?" He asked as I made my way into bed
"I am not,It's just happens to be bedtime" I argued back "Fuck bedtime,I just wanted 5 solid minutes with my girl" Jex sat up and turned to me "I go to work Lucinda,I don't get to see her until I come back home which she's always asleep" He continued making me feel more guilty than ever. "All I asked was for 5 minutes" He whispered as he laid back down
"Am sorry" I finally whispered but he said nothing.
Next Day
I Turned around to find Jex's Gone like always.
I got up and headed to Josie's room to see if he was there and he was.Jex and Josie were in the floor.Jex had his guitar while Little Josie had a little piano. "Look what daddy got me mommy!" Josie shouted as she showed off her electric piano "That's cool,Can you play me something?" I asked as I sat down next to her
"Remember Josie,Just follow the numbers" Jex whispered to her.In the piano notes there where numbers label with expo marker.
Josie's little fingers than began hitting them notes.It was twinkle little starts,What she was playing. "That was beautiful baby" I clapped
"Thank you" She shyly smiled. "Well I gotta go to work" Jex said getting up and kissing Josie
"Bye" He said not once making eye contact to me "Bye" I repeated his same word
"Again mommy?" Josie asked as she played random keys. "One more time and than we go downstairs" I smiled at the little thing.
•Jex P.O.V•
I wanted to teach Josie music.Music has always been a huge part of my life and I want her to enjoy as well.I made it easy for her now but when time pass she's going to know every note in the piano.Than am going to show her the guitar.I was so happy just knowing she's going to love music like me.I wondered the streets as I was load with my gun and some cigarettes.Husky told me to got late to work so that's why I was wondering around.I slowly made my way to the wood were I use to live.I sat on the wooden floor where me,My brother and mom use to sleep.
"Hey mom" I cried as I took out my gun that Lucinda had gave me years ago and put it aside. "How's it going?" I began asking "I've been fine" I lied "Actually no.I haven't been fine mom.I don't know what to do..I have a daughter and a beautiful beautiful girlfriend but she just gets in my nerves somethings" I talked and talked like if she did even hear me. "I gave her all my patience but it's hard at times" I began crying like a puss.I don't want to leave them.I love them but things are hard.
"I wanna be alone mom.But at the same time I don't want to lose them" I whispered.I closed my eyes and leaned back.
*2 Hours Later*
Shit.I woke up with fear of being late for work.And I was.I got up grabbed my gun and put inside my shirt.i came her to shoot some bullets but I guess I'll do that another day.I than took off to work.As I began packing some coke into tiny bags things flew through my mind.I had a..A Weird dream.I didn't see her all.I just saw her long black gloomy hair.Her soft lovely voice.But I couldn't come up with what she said.All I remember was her saying "Talk to her.Be with her more" But I don't know what she was referring to.After a long day at work I head home.Lucinda was already asleep and so was Josie.i took my shirt off and shoes and just hoped on in bed.I haven't drinked or smoke today and I guess that's progress.My heart told me to pull Lucinda into my arms but my body didn't.At the end I just went with my heart.And lately I've going with my heart too much. "I love you" I whispered to her as she opened her eyes.She smiled and said "Me too" And that's how my day ended.
