Thomas' POV
"Thank you", I smiled as soon as I closed in on him, sitting beside him on the bench during lunch break. Yet he just looked into the lonely nothingness, empty gaze. "Why thanking me? If you grow up with nothing but hate, making you wanting to take revenge. And those who take revenge are just as worse as the culprit." His words echoed in my head as I listened to them again, taking it in slowely. I tried to find an answer, but couldn't think of one so thought about introducing meself instead. "My name is Thomas by the way." He shrugged, not once looking me in the eye. "Hm... How do I call you, mister...?" He sighed. "If you search me, you won't find me. If you see me, you won't look at me. You won't recognise my deeds if you weren't taught. When all the light in the world will fade, I'll be the only natural light at night. You won't notice me until I am gone. That's how you call me." I blinked, trying to tie all his sentences together, but even before I could ask, he stood up. He started walking away, yet, before he left my view, he turned around and threw me his first glance. "If you need me, just call for my father." And he pointed to the sky, leaving me all on my own.
A smile came across my face as I entered class, meeting with the same golden eyes I met that very same day a bit earlier. His silver hair fell in front of his forehead and a bit of his eyes, making him look mythical, totally with the sunshine falling from behind him. The mysterious and secretive aura circled around him, flashing me some chills down my spine. Emotionless mask covered his face, fitting his received nickname : Emo Knight. 'Emo' coming from 'emotion' and the subculture which he strangely could be fitting in with his strangeness itself. 'Knight' coming from his last name as well as his bravery he showed in his actions against the Emperor, known as Kenny, the badboy. "Nice to see you again", I greeted him as soon as I sat next to him in the classroom filled with loud girls that were checking him out or jalous boys in the back, rumoring about how to get rid of him. He stared at the blackboard and mummered something I understood as 'yeah'. The sun shone trough the curtains as we waited for the teacher to arrive, which seemed to be taking forever. "I never thought you'd be in the same class as me", I decided to break the silence between us, starting a converstation which would probebly be held by one talking (me) and one listening (him). "But I'm glad with that, y'know. So I can show you around as a new student and thank you again for earlier. You know... for saving me from Kenny and his friends by the lockers?" He hummed a 'hmmm' in all softness, making me sure he was listening to what I had to say, although I wasn't sure it interested him in any way.
As seconds passed by, I wasn't sure about anything anymore. The teacher didn't seem to be coming any time soon and the loud shrieks and screams coming from the students didn't calm down either. It was only me... the silence... and him. Emo Knight, the new kid without a first name that was known to someone. Him and his riddles, his weird discriptions of his own. It made me sigh mentally, not knowing what to say actually. I mean, I could converse with him again, but he'd never answer or talk back like any normal person would. So I just stayed silent until he broke it for me. "It's not healthy to stay all put inside your mind on your own, Thomas." "You're the one to talk." He turned his gaze to me, throwing me a sharp look with a questioning side in his eyes. "I mean, you never really talked to me as I tried to have a conversation. You push me away with those strange things you say and you're closed. Why would you say it's not healthy if you do it yourself?" He looked me in the eye, whispering : "Are you offending me?" Making me shake my head fast in a 'no', only to make him turn away. "If you really hate me that much, nobody is keeping you here. Be free to stand up and sit elsewhere 'cause if you're planning on waisting your so precious time on me, I got news for ya, you'll regret it. I don't mean to threat you in any way, just to warn you what might happen if my father discovers your behavior towards me. And, just to say, he's always watching, so don't get all fed up about yourself." I nodded, wondering if his father really was watching, he could be the principals son in any way, but soon shrugging it of as I noticed him staring trough the window, up to the blue sky.
"I didn't mean that, you realise that right?" His gaze left the window to turn towards me, meeting me with an icy strike. "I know, just as much as I know you were staring at me. If you got something to tell, tell it right in my face and not behind my back." I nodded softly as I tried my hardest not to shake with my body in fright. Might as well just made a new enemy, making me think why I was so bad at making friends. "Well?" I played with my fingers, not looking him in the eye. "C-could you be my friend?" A stutter left me, making me mentally slep meself for stuttering in front of 'stranger'. "Your friend?" I nodded, he stared and sighed, standing up to look me closely in the eye followed by a clear statement that I didn't expect : "If you can call me by my name the next time you greet me, I will." He gave me one last look before leaving the chaotic classroom, waving me goodbye without turning around. Leaving me lost in my thoughts, my mind started wandering around with several questions and options, but only one remained : "Just who are you, mystery guy?"
