Kenny's POV
I sighed, the meeting with Moon was to be expected in some way and yet I got caught off guard. I did like the fact he still didn't back away, but hated how cool he acted about it. Yet, there was nothing I could do at all. It was not like the broke our promise, I held his secret and he didn't break my reputation, only saved his little 'friends'. But I knew better, those weren't his real friends. They were only using him since he was brave enough to stand up against me. All people were like that actually, I only hang out with my gang since it made me stand up more and they used me for a status. Even so, we sticked together, liked it or not, didn't matter at all what our opinions were. That was why I liked to be on my own, nobody used me. But neither did Moon, he stood up against me and yet acted as if I were his company, he was a weirdo. If someone were to be a friend, it would be him without a doubt.
I passed the gym as soon as first period started. As usual, I skipped and went towards the garden which was peaceful and full of silence. The flowers were in bloom and the trees, well, they looked beautiful these days.It was where I liked to stay hidden until the break started. I sighed, not caring if a teacher saw me. When they did they would ignore me and students knew I skipped. Easy as that, I was the exception of the rule of 'not skipping or be punished' here and that kinda felt good at some points, such as this one. I was finally able to breathe again, to be on my own in peace and to forget all the worries I carried. It calmed me down when I thought I was lost in my own, when I thought my ego was comming after me or when karma was just around the corner. I was able to feel relieved after a long period of time and that felt actually pretty great for me, as if I was finally set free after a long day of hard work.
The gym was just around the corner, on my right side as I had to pass to enter the garden a few meters further away. But some noise made me hide behind the corner. "Why did you stop me from entering the gym? First period started a while ago", I recognised Moons voice. "I know", a child's voice replied. "That's why I came to find you right now. Nobody's around." I had a look, the child looked a lot like Moon himself. Golden eyes, little and a bit strange. Only, his hair was kind of blonde. "What do you need?", Moon asked the kid coldly. No matter who was in front of him, he wouldn't change his attitude. "I was send by my parent, the sun. My name is Makoro Ichigo, your cousin. And I was ordered by my parent to give you something in order to maintain safe. You see, mean guys are getting close and you're in danger if you continue on living." I watched, rubbing my head softly since I didn't really follow the situation that well.
"With this", he took out a stone, "you are able to call help. This will awake whenever you're in danger. It'll call the help of your inner animal from the Wizard World. The stone is called 'Emerald Ice', the name of your inner animal." I saw Moon nodding before accepting the gift of his so called cousin Makoro. "Now", he said. "It's be safer for you to return from where you came from, Makoro. This world is not safe for wizards and I know there are some people here you need to avoid if you wish to keep that a secret, what you are. Besides, you told me I was in danger, if you're near you are to, please just go, alright?" The child nodded with a soft : "I'll give my parent, the sun, your greetings as well as the moon. They miss you, y'know? It's not the same without you around and I can know. I may look like a six year old, I'm only a hundred years younger than my parent the sun. Just like you, I don't age. So please remain safe, alright?" Moon nodded as the child started leaving with a soft : "Bye and don't forget to test the stone first!"
"You sure are some dude, you know that?" Moon turned around to meet me halfway as soon as I spoke. "Hello, Kenny", he answered. "How do you mean?" I pointed towards the stone in his hand. "I didn't know you had a cousin." He shook his head. "Neither did I." His eyes watched the stone. "Should I try?" I shrugged. "Why not? After all, your precious cousin came all the way here to deliver it right? It would only be fair to so. Besides, I actually wanna see some magic." He giggled softly and nodded. "Take a few steps aside, I don't know how big my inner animal might be." And so I did as told, walking a few huge passes back until I thought this was safe. "Alright, you can."
His eyes started glowing to pure white with a glance of gold left while wind started circling around him in full speed, making his hair fly to reveal the tattoo on his forehead which was also glowing. "In the name of Moon Knight, first and only son of Man in the Moon and Ceto, Greek godess of the dangers of the ocean and sea monsters, I demand you to reveal yourself!" The stone in his hand started glowing. "In the name of Moon Knight, come out Emerald Ice!" The stone flew out his hand and started to take the form of his animal. A huge one actually, with wings, a pure white skin and red eyes. A huge dragon made of ice, that was Emerald Ice. It flew towards Moon to look him in the eye. "In the name of Moon Knight, I will grant your wish", he said while he took off his shirt, revealing the amazing marks in his back. "Be free to bond with me", he whispered before the dragon bit him deeply in his left shoulder, making him scream out loud.
