8. The Magical Knights

Eugene's POV

A soft yawn escaped my lips as I stared down at the boy in front of us. "Can I help you?", he asked politly, looking at us with an emotionless face, although I could guess he was confussed by our appearance. "We are searching for this cute little boy named Moon Knight!", Shikaru answered happily with a strange grin on his face, being as childess as ever. "I think you've got the wrong adress", the boy replied again with those eyes of his saying he didn't trust us, making Kawacy come in who put his foot right between the door as the boy closed it to leave us out. "Well, either you are Moon Knight or he has a secret twin brother." A smirk creeped on the knight of trust's face. "So either you let us in so we can explain in silence, or we'll do it the hard way." The boy, who I assumed to be the one we're looking for, stepped aside to let us in. "Do as you please."

The house held a lovely smell of wood and family, even if he was the only person at home. "So what do you want?", he asked again as soon as we sat down on the couch. The boy with the white hair sat in front of us on a chair, eyes showing the emotion of paranoia. "You are Moon Knight, right?", Dagmar softly asked as the boy nodded softly. "Now, tell me what you need from me. I do not know you, neither do you know me. And I've got no time to waste on some mortals planning a joke on me." I yawned softly before answering. "We were send by the queen of the Land of the Dead to find the one named Moon Knight, son of Man in the Moon. We are the Magical Knights, 5 chosen warriors from the Wizard World in order to protect our world as well as the Wizard King." He nodded softly, allowing us to speak up. "We are Dagmar Green, knight of balance. Kawacy Blue, knight of trust. Shikaru Red, knight of passion. Lunatico Purple, knight of imagination. And I am Eugene Black, knight of mystery." "I am Moon Knight, nice to meet you", he introduced himself once more as well. "Now, why would the Magical Knights search for me, in order of Izanami?" Dagmar looked him right in the eyes, searching for all his power within before daring to speak up, telling the one in front of us the truth since he didn't know the situation going on at our home.

"Latorius Young, known as the Black King, killed the Wizard King in order to take the throne. He has ordered his army of weaklings and evil men to go find his natural enemy, the Wizard King chosen by the sun. The teenager Echo Link, age between fifteen or sixteen. Everyone who helps this boy or even looks like him will be executed. The Shaw family, the royal family spread across several generations, dissapeared and changed their lookings as they now work undercover as a network across the whole country. Together with the people they work out several missions, collect information to find weaknesses so they can try to kick The Black King off the throne. But recently, Jeka Veza, son of Izanami, queen of the Land of the Dead and Ramin, king of life and the living, commited suicide before awakening his powers and taking his real form." Dagmar took a little breath before he continued. "But thanks to the spell of his mother, he got locked up inside the world of glass, appearing to those calling his name in front of a mirror. In order to get him out and set him free, causing his awakening to take place, we need a very strong wizard. Yet, no wizard we know is capable of doing so. Man in the Moon, your father, told the family Shaw about you, who send their youngest daughter Lili Shaw to the Human World in order to find you, so she could send you to the Wizard World when needed. With the dead of Jeka, we were send to find you as well, which we did with the help of princess Lili."

Moon looked us in the eye as if he was studying us from closeby before standing up, walking into the kitchen and walking back, mostly he took a breath to take it all in. "So basically", he spoke up to us again as soon as he sat down with us once more. "You were send in order to make me release a prince named Jeka Veza, who got locked up in the mirror after commiting suicide, right?" I nodded as another yawn escaped my lips. "Alright, and you, called the Magical Knights, come all the way here only for that?" Again I nodded, but he didn't buy it. "As if I'd believe that. If that was all, Lili, my friend who turns out to be a princess wizard, would've told me so. What do you want?" Shikaru sighed softly before standing up, making his way towards Moon, before putting on one of his famous smiles. "We were also ordered by the Black King to kill the boy named Echo Link, but he doesn't know we work undercover with the Shaw family. As we got the orders from the Black King by his guard Sore Zen, he asked us about our passed and the missing knight. As you may know, we were supposed to be with 6, but the sixth member couldn't find his successor and died before finding the one to take his place. Centuries passed and no generation found their missing member, until recently. After being reminded of our missing member and having a talk with Man in the Moon about you, we figured it out. Our sixth member couldn't find his successor 'cause he was never in the Wizard World. He was send to the Human World so he would remain unknown." A big smile creeped on his face as he got all excited. "What are you telling me?" Shikaru laughed. "Welcome aboard, Moon Knight, knight of emotion!"
