Echo's POV
Things aren't right, the world is turning and people are sad. The Wizard World is not as I had hoped. From the moment I decided to go there myself, I felt the aura so sharp I had to sit down for a moment. I knew things were not alright, not okay, but never expected this to be the actual case of nowadays. My Magical Knights stopped reporting me with one last note saying they took a break due an incident that happened and I grew curious for nobody wanted to tell me the reason why. What was this incident that got them to step aside for a while? It got me curious, maybe something I should've ignored this time. "He did it! He did it!", people cried on the streets out loud, crying and whimpering as they tried to calm down each other. "He did it! We will be next!" Fear could be heard all over the streets as they panicked. "He'll come to get us next!"
"Excuse me, miss", I tried to get attention of one of the ladies who stood in a circle nearby a farm, the place I arrived when entering the Wizard World. You see, on my way back to Moon's house I walked in on a boy who looked like comiting suicide on the bridge and blurry memories of my past life struck me as lightning. After meeting the boy, I learned his name was Jeffrey Lockwood, a boy that was seen as responsible for the murder of his parents, even if he had nothing to do with it. We got lost in conversation and I told him my magical identity. He didn't believe so I showed him. I told him I understood him in one way or the other, although I could not explain how come. I offered him to become my protector since my awakening call was forced, my protector had no body. Jeffrey said he didn't mind, as long as he finally could serve someone. He told me I was the first not to push, nor judge, nor blame him in forever, he wanted to help me out. The lady turned around to look me in the eye, wiping away her tears softly. "What is it, dear?", she asked softly and whispering, her voice clearly broken. The woman around her trying to hide their sadness, stood beside her and listened to our converstation. "What is going on?", I asked her softly, staring her in the eye. "Why is everyone crying? Who will be coming?" Her eyes widened for a little while as she turned around, searching for an answer by her friends. "Why'd you like to know, child? It's better you don't. Go play with your friends, they'll be searching you if you wait too long", someone else replied but I shook my head. "I have none, no need to worry. Please tell me, I'd like to know." "I haven't seen you before here, you're not from around here, are you? Identify yourself now! For all we know you could belong to the enemy and came here to execute us as well!"
I sighed softly, lifting up my hair to show them the mark on my forehead saying 'Echo'. "My name is Echo Link, son of the queen of the land of the dead, Izanami and king of the living, Ramin. I am the Wizard King chosen by the sun. I just arrived here in the Wizard World after my Magical Knights told me about the situation. You see, I've got amnesia. I know nothing but my name, who I am, my protector and what people told me so far about wizards and the Wizard World. I know there's a Black King here and so, but that does not explain why you are all crying and in panic that someone might come to get you. I know and understand if you do not want me here, I am just a teenager with no knowledge, but I remain your King. And as your Wizard King, I'd like to serve my people right. So I'll ask again, what's going on?"
All eyes were looking at me before they fastly bowed. "Excuse us, your majesty, we didn't know it was you. Please forgive us our rudeness." I nodded, asking them to stand up. "It's the Black King", one of them explained as soon as she stood up. "He send his man through the whole kingdom, he attacked our people in the Medieval Village a bit further! He kills us all! Gods, royal family, the sick, the poor, nobody is safe! He takes them all! We are so scared!" I nodded in understanding, allowing her to cry softly. "So if I understand, he executed several people for no good reason? Not that there is a good reason for execution though..." She nodded simply, wiping her tears away as I took her hand. "Thank you for explaining to me, miss and for being patient. I know this is scary, I don't know what will happen either. But as I may ask of you, this will be a lot, but please consider it. For now, do not leave your village. If the army of the Black King should be in any village nearby, take anything precious and for emergency only and move to the villages further away. I do not believe he shall execute people who travel. If he's in your village with you present, do not hide. He shall find you anyway and will think you hide something from him while you just try to be safe. Act natural at all time, respect his wishes in order to stay out of danger as well as your family and friends. Never wander off on your own, always go with at least 2 extra people to be sure and guarentee your safety. At least, do not panic at any time and remain calm any time possible. Fear is what he likes to see, 'cause fearing someone means you'll listen. If he sees fear in your eyes he knows he controls you. Do not show him, you are your being and stay strong."
Soon after I said my goodbye, telling them to contact me if anything of my concern should happen. I also requested to spread the tips I gave and to at all times, keep my presence a secret. I did not want the Black King coming after me already, he'd kill the women as well as he figures out I was in contact with them. He'll go on a killing race just to keep me away. He was a horrible creature and no matter how long it takes, I shall eleminate him.
