Ken'ichi's POV
He stroke my cheek silently in eager madness as he whispered hurtful words in my ear. Telling me how small my chances of escaping were, how low ranked I was in his eyes. Everything I didn't want to hear he shared with me. From the truth to lies, from lies to the truth. "Isn't it beautiful?", he sang on painful tones. "Your skin is even more pale then last time we met." He smilled evil-like. "I can't wait to devour you, my sweet meal." "I ain't no food." He smirked at my reaction as he licked my hand. "Oh yes, you are. That's what you are, ain't that right? Parasite." I growled. His teeth showed as he laughed at the sight he got from me. "How amusing. Well, it is what you are, my dear. I didn't chose that. Your old man did as he beated the living hell out of your mother." "Step!" His laugh echoed, bringing shivers down my spine. "You are insane! My father loved me! He never abused my mother! I ain't a parasite! You are!" His eyes trcuk me down with anger as he released one hell of a sound. "I like you", he spoke. "You got stamina, you are brave. But most of all, you taste delicious." He licked his lips as if he could taste my flesh by doing so. "You know why I"ll eat you right? What power I'll get if I do so?" My eyes grew wide as soon as I realised what he said. He really was going to fest on me, no kidding. "Y-you...", I stuttered. Unable to speak probebly he laughed at me. "Oh yes, my sweet meal. I'll be the so called god people tell you are. I will be so strong nobody will defeat me. You see, a parasite like you, lives from the lifes of others. But I am not interested in your pathetic survival. What got my attention is your precious magic." Fear embrassed me, surrounded me and made me lose my voice. I, god of the mind, eaten by a Zetsubou like him was just impossible. "If I eat you, I will be able to control illusions within the people's minds. They shall fear me as their worst nightmares and they can't escape. They shall see the demons in their heads and scream in agony." He laughed insane, leaving no room for objection against his master plan. "You shall not, never, over my dead body, become the god I am", I tried to refuse, something that got him to smirk. "I may be a parasite, a living being that needs others to survive. I may need to feed on the fantasy and the fears of others just to stay alive. But even so, I never create any illusions with people's minds for no reason nor to make them tremble in fear. And until the day the first person without fantasy is born, I shall remain. And you will not kill me." "You think so?" The grin on his face remained as he watched me from closeby. I nodded, certain about my vission and continued to explain exactly why I was so sure. "I think so, 'cause for all I know, this could be an illusion, right?"
He looked at me with a strange look. "You wouldn't dare, now would you, dear?" "I would." His eyes widened. "Make it stop right now! I"ll eat you for sure now!" I giggled on the inside, knowing I was just messing around to safe my skin. Of course this wasn't an illusion, but if the man who makes them tells you it is, you'll easily get fooled. "I shall not, after all, if you'll hurt me here, eat me here, I'll know how to keep hidden from your eyes. That's what I am, ain't I? A parasite." I laughed softly, seeing his scared face as I created this fake lie, this fake illusion to keep meself out of his reach. "After all", I continued as the god I was. "Such little you think of me, a god. A Zetsubou like you means nothing in my eyes. A being that eats other magical creatures in order to gain power, that's just sad. You are worth not a single thing, just as low as a human being."
He groaned, taking my words very seriously although he could've easily known I was lying right in his face. Something that got me to grow tired very soon. "So", I started again. "You either kill me now right here, or you let me go with the same result : nothing." He laughed softly before kneeling down in front of me. "Oh dear", he spoke lightly, taking my hand to lick it with his long tongue. "I shall never kill you nor hurt you in any way, please don't be offended. But please grand me this one wish now, won't you?" His eyes shone in a strange manner, I didn't trust it at all. "Then what do you want from me, you sorry excuse for a Zetsubou?" He looked to the ground, a smirk creeping across his skin, something that got me look out as he continued licking my flesh. "I am in great danger, my love. I need your power to remain safe. Shall you grant me that little magic of yours in order to do so?" "I shall not." His eyes watched me as I took back my hand before he could sink his teeth into it. "I shall not let meself be used nor abused by someone as pity as you. So now, please excuse me, you are not the only one requesting my presence." I stood up as I tried to walk past him, he stopped me by taking a firm grip on my wrist. "Do not leave yet, my dear. For I am not finished yet." He laughed as he showed me his teeth, making me push him off and run away quickly before he had another chance of taking my power. "Do not think you can escape me, my dear." I heard him laughing loudly as I ran faster and faster, further away from the scene with the words repeating over and over in my mind. "My dear..."
