Chapter 4: an addition to the team

Adam and Tom had arrived to find a lot of people standing around the Pokémon gym"what's going on here?" Adam said as he and Tom stepped forward. A DJ looking guy walked over to Tom and Adam"well the gym is currently undergoing maintenance since the power for the gym has been cut off" the man said as Adam sighed since he was not going to be able to have his gym battle soon enough"well look on the bright side Adam at least we will get to see what is going on" Tom said as Adam sighed again and ate some lunch at the pokemon center"what do you think could have happened?" Adam said as he looked at the map of Roria"well the power supply is near the gale forest and route 4 so my guess is that some of the wild Pokémon might have had something to do with it" Tom said as a injured looking wurmple entered the pokemon center. Adam quickly picked it up and brought it to nurse joy who was at the counter"I think you should take this wurmple back to gale woods where it belongs" nurse joy said as Adam nodded since he had a lot of time on his hands while the gym was under maintenance.

Adam and Tom  decided to head towards the gale forest where they would be able to help the injured wurmple get back to its home and rest"don't worry wurmple we will get you back to your home very quickly" Adam reassured the small worm Pokémon as it rode in Adam's shoulder"Adam why don't we speed things up by riding on absol?" Tom said"good idea it would speed up things" Adam said as he sent out absol and climbed onto him then helped tom on"hold on tight this will be a very bumpy ride!" Adam shouted as absol started sprinting back in the direction of chesma town where the gale woods was also located. Meanwhile Jack had just spotted the two of them leave and decided head towards route 4 so he could get to brimber.

As Adam neared chesma town he realized he was starting to get hungry so he headed towards sawbucks coffee with Tom and they drank coffee and ate cake"well the wurmple is almost home safe and sound" Tom said as the wurmple started cheering that it was going to get back home soon" suddenly a group of wild wurmple,litleo and starly started attacking the residents of chesma town causing Adam,his Pokémon,Tom and the wurmple to look to see what was happening there. People were being injure by embers from the Litleo,tied up by the wurmple and pecked by the starly. Just then the same women from before appeared and she was smiling" I'm going to find out what happened!" Adam shouted as he quickly ran towards the direction of the gale woods. Instantly Adam saw a lot of stray electricity firing everywhere while the power box for silvent had been damaged by what looked like a bite and a arm thrust attack"so that's what happened" Adam said as he remembered that the lady had a poochyena and a pancham causing him to get angry and try to repair the power box.

Meanwhile Rose had token a wrong turn and had accidently ended up in aredia city"well I guess I should head back after I heal you up huh?" She said to snivy as snivy nodded"well I guess after this we can get going and head back towards chesma town. Snivy pointed towards the aredia gym"sorry snivy but i don't really feel like challenging all the roria gyms" Rose said as snivy nodded in agreement since she did not like gym battles either"it says you need to be more experienced to challenge it anyway" Rose said as she shrugged her shoulders.

Meanwhile in a secret team eclipse base the masked man had arrived finally and scanned his identification card on the card checker. He smiled and took of his mask"boss cypress you have a few meetings" a eclipse grunt told him as cypress looked at the screen. On the screen there were pictures of ledgendary and mythical Pokémon such as victini and groudon"set a target for a squad to go after the ledgendary Pokémon palika so that we will be able to create the new world"yes boss a squad has gone to the  home where the ledgendary Pokémon palika is mentioned to be according to the archeological experts we kidnapped back In Mitis town" a grunt replied as a screen appeared so that he could monitor the squad who was trying to capture palika. However the beast was just to powerful and overpowered the rest of the grunts Pokémon

Just then the lady spotted him and ordered pancham to use arm thrust on Adam causing him to wince in pain as he felt around for absols pokeball but realized that he had sent out absol to help deal with the attacking Pokémon back in chesma town"well I guess this is all up to you froakie!" Adam shouted as the blue frog hopped out of its pokeball excitedly"froakie I want you to battle that lady's poochyena understood?" Adam said as froakie nodded eagerly as he used a pound attack which Adam ordered him to use"well i guess you won't be needing this!" The lady who was called Linda said as she stole Adam's necklace and attempted to run away with poochyena following her closely"hey!" Adam shouted as he ran after her with froakie hopping after his trainer worriedly and quickly"boss I need a pick up as soon as possible" Linda said

Just then Adam arrived with froakie who quickly used a combination of pound and quick attack to damage Linda's poochyena"now froakie take it out with a bubble attack!" Adam shouted as the flurry of bubbles struck the poochyena causing it to faint"well I guess it's your turn pancham!" Linda shouted as the pancham thrust its arm into froakie causing it to be severely damaged"froakie try to stand up and use a bubble attack but the pancham prevented it from getting up"froakie no!" Adam shouted as pancham prevented it from getting up. In a tree meanwhile the wurmple was watching the whole scene unfold as pancham got ready to do an arm thrust attack into froakie causing it to be down and out for the count. The wurmple shook its head and remembered how kind Adam had been with his Pokémon and decided to help him.

"Wurmple!" The wurmple shouted as it tackled the pancham into a tree and then proceeded to rap it round and round with the sticky substance"pancham!" It cried as wurmple continued giving it powerful nudges until it finally fainted from the attacks"fine then i guess you win this very bad Pokémon battle novice trainer" Linda said as she threw the brick towards Adam who caught it"well I guess I won't be seeing you around" Linda grumbled as she got into a aircraft that the boss had summoned towards her location"well that was weird" Adam said as he turned to face his froakie and the wild wurmple. Just then absol appeared and nudged its pokeball which was on Adam's belt"well I better get this fixed up" Adam said as he ordered froakie to use some of its frubbles to stick all the wiring that was broken together so that the electricity could be directed right back towards silvent city so Adam could have his gym battle and win his first gym badge and then head on towards the site of his second gym badge which was located in the bizarre city of brimber which had a volcano.

Just then the wurmple crawled towards Adam and stood there" you mean you want to join us wurmple?" Adam said as the wurmple nodded eagerly"alright then go pokeball!" Adam shouted as it hit the wurmple causing it to get sucked into the pokeball. It started rolling around normally three times until it finally made a ping noise alerting Adam that the Pokémon had been caught.

"Alright! This is my first Pokémon in the roria region!" Adam cheered as he got tom from his parents house and pulled him on to absol where they dashed towards silvent city"well one part of the power for the gym has been restored" chad said as he saw the group arriving at the site of the first gym in roria"I need you to go check out what's happening on route 4" chad said

Well now I have gotten chapter 4 now and hopefully after Adam finishes fixing the problem he will battle for the first gym badge. Here's his team
