Chapter 7: rival battle

"Guys I think it's time we continue our training so that we can have a rematch with Chad and win this time!" Adam shouted as lvl his Pokémon cheered"well I think I will pair you up with each other so wurmple goes with froakie while nidorino goes with absol,go easy on him absol" Adam said as the Pokémon began exchanging attacks with each other as Adam and Tom watched and smiled"seems like you team is coming along quite nicely Adam" Tom said"yeah I know but I still miss my old team back in kanto where I first started my journey" Adam sighed"so why did you pick absol to take instead of your starter?" Tom questioned"well I guess it's because I thought that I owed him one for helping me get to the quarter finals so I decided to bring him here and we could hopefully win the roria league and become champions" Adam said as he sighed again. Absol nodded and the Pokémon ran over to Adam since they were all exhausted from exchanging attacks.

"Who are you?" A kid aggressively said as he approached Adam"I'm Adam and who are you?" Adam asked as the kid just looked confidently at him"I'm John and I'm here to win the roria league!" The kid said obnoxiously as his starter just looked at Adam angrily and shot out some embers from its mouth"it's ok charmander we don't need to waste our time with this kid who does not know anything about Pokémon" John said as charmander just laughed causing Adam to get angry from the annoying kids attitude"I wil have you know that I competed in the kanto,johto,hoenn,sinnoh,Uno à and kalos league!" Adam shouted"but did you win any of the leagues?" John questioned as Adam started sweating"umm no but I got into the final 2 in the kalos league" wow what a great achievement" John said sarcastically causing Adam to become even more angry with the kid"well how many leagues did you compete in!" Adam shouted"ummm none?" John said as he started sweating as well.

"Well In still going to win the roria league and no once is going to stop me from getting there and becoming the winner! I also have one badge how many do you have!" John shouted at Adam"ummm I just lost to the gym leader so I have no badges yet" Adam said sheepishly as John just laughed at Adam"I bet you won't meet the deadline and the league will start without you when you are still only on your first badge!" John laughed again making Adam even more angrier"I think this is about to get out of hand" Tom said as he looked at both trainers who were now exchanging insults about who was worse.

"Fine then lets settle this argument with a four on four battle!" Adam shouted as John sweated again"well I only have 3 Pokémon so what do you say to a three on three battle?" John said as Adam nodded and quickly headed towards the Pokémon center where he would be able to heal his Pokémon up and then head back to the battlefield to battle John. The nurse joy at the counter gave Adam some advice on the gym leader first as Adam thanked her and headed towards the practice battle field behind the Pokémon center where Tom would be the referee"I always wanted to be a referee!" Tom said excitedly

"Alright this will be a three on three battle between the two trainers John and Adam, no substitutions are allowed in this battle,the battle ends when all Pokémon on either side are unable to battle anymore,begin!" Tom shouted as the two trainers got their pokemon"go nidorino I choose you!" Adam shouted as the purple Dino popped out of its pokeball"its time to battle starly!" John said as the little bird hopped out of its pokeball and make a small bird like noise before flying up.

"Alright nidorino use poison sting on starvia!"Adam ordered as the darts flew towards  bird causing it,to fly up high into the sky and stay there"starvia use a peck attack to peck all those darts away!" John shouted as the little bird pecked all the darts that were coming at him and caused them to break in half by the birds powerful beak. The beak even landed on the dinosaur causing it to wince in pain as it entered into the dinosaurs body causing it to start bleeding small amounts.

"Hang in their nidorino and use double kick!" Adam shouted as he realized his mistake just as nidorino was going to kick the bird in the face"well starvia use aerial ace!" John ordered as the bird began to swoop down on the dinosaur with its wings both glowing white and looking shiny as the wings both collided into the purple dinosaur causing it to go flying into the air"use poison sting again nidorino!" Adam shouted as the darts flew towards the bird again and this time they struck with little damage but now starvia had been poisoned from the small darts as it started growing tired from the darts"starvia now is the time to use another peck attack!" John shouted as the bird flew up and pecked at the dinosaur again causing it to get even more angry as Adam smiled since his plan was coming along very nicely. John just kept laughing at Adam stupidity however.
