Chapter 25: Z-moves and mega evolution

Adam walked down the path with the group as they tried to locate where they could find the man who had got the Z crystals"Adam do you even think that he will let you have a z-crystal?"Sally questioned as the group continued taking the path down to the Z-crystal makers shop which also functioned as his house and Adam soon found out that it also functioned as a lighthouse. The group decided to sit down and eat some lunch since they had not eaten there lunch yet as they opened some leftovers from dinner and decided to eat that since they didn't really feel like going back all the way to the Pokémon center. Adam munched on some cold fries as he thought about what he had done wrong in the gym battle with Quentin as he decided that it's wasn't the type disadvantage that had caused him his defeat since pansear had managed to defeat wailmer even though pansear had the obvious disadvantage between the two of the Pokémon. Adam sighed and stood up

The group finally arrived at the lighthouse and looked up to see a large beacon lighting up the cold and foggy afternoon. The group guessed that since the light was on someone would have had to have been inside the lighthouse as they rang the doorbell and knocked on the door but there was no response so the group freaked open the door and much to their surprise the door was unlocked as they cautiously headed into the dimly lit room and were amazed that the lighthouse looked even bigger on the inside than it was on the outside. The group saw a large staircase that curled around and around and they also managed to see a few doors but could not see what the labels were that had been put on top of the doors. The group then started ascending up the towers and saw a lot of pictures on the sides of the lighthouse wall. Just then Adam spotted that some of them were of the leaders of the evil teams. As he spotted a picture of Lysandre on the wall with a label underneath it which said defeated. Adam grimaced as he remembered his early encounters with team flare and thought of how they had managed to lock him up due to him being to weak as a Pokémon trainer at the time team flare had captured him.

"Look it's Ghetsis" Rose said as she looked at the evil team plasma leader, Rose scowled at the man due to him Eevee who had been her starter as she smiled when she saw the sign which said defeated"Giovanni is here as well,but where is the team eclipse leader?" Sally said as they found each of the seven leaders. The group wondered why his picture hadn't been put up yet and realized there was an empty slot which was for the team eclipse leaders picture but it was not there" that's weird why is he not here?" Adam wondered as they continued slowly ascending up the marble steps. They were much slower due to worrying about what they would see at the top of something bad happened. They finally arrived at a grand big doo which was labeled the balcony as Tom noticed that they needed an access card to get into the lighthouse luckily Quentin had given them an access card so Adam got it from his bag and scanned it on the card detector which opened the door to the balcony. The doors swung open as they were met by a birds eye view of the Rosecove city and the Rosecove beach as well as they saw a tentacool jump up and grab a krabby from the beach before dragging it down into the water again.

The group decided to wait and see if the maker of the Z-crystals came out of the room since when the door opened there had been a loud buzzing sound which would have alerted the person who was in the building currently as Adam waited impatiently while looking down at the ocean where he saw a strange looking hole in the side of a cliff which looked very suspicious as a fisherman sailed past the hole and cast the line that he had. Adam sighed and finished a cold slice of pizza he had packed at lunch yesterday and munched it as he watched the ocean waves move back and forth carrying tentacools sometimes

Adam decided to send out absol as the dark type dog came out of his pokeball before yawning and stretching since it had not been out of its pokeball at all since breakfast had started as it noticed it was on the balcony on the lighthouse before deciding to eat some Pokémon food that Adam had put in his bowl. Absol ate happily as Adam continued to watch the waves roll"well this has been quite the adventure has it not?" Sally said as she watched Tom and Rose argue about who was going to win the next kalos league since they had been watching it last night"yes this has been great and besides gym battles I get to to see a lot of roria while I go on my quest for gym badges" Adam said and sighed as he saw some wailords Swimming in the far sea.

Just then the door opened as an old man walked towards the group. He looked to be around his sixths and had a wide variety of different colored crystals in his coat but even more surprising was that he also had mega stones along with the crystals. As Adam noticed the blue crystal that Quentin had used in their gym battle earlier as the man noticed Adam looking at it"I assume you know this is waterium-Z?" The man said as Adam nodded slightly since he did not fully understand the Z-crystals.

"Well Z-crystals are mysterious artifacts that have been found on Alola a long time ago but no one even knows if that's the exact date that the Z-crystals were found at" The man said as Adam listened closely to what the man was saying"well I guess you know the rest of how they work since you saw it during your gym battle I'm guessing right?" The man asked as Adam nodded that he had seen the power of the Z-crystals and knew what they did as well"and do you know what a mega stone is?" The man said as Adam nodded more confidently this time since he had experienced them in kalos he had never gotten any of his own because he had never taken the time to enjoy kalos and had instead rushed through all of the gyms.

"Well maybe you can have this I guess but you can't use it until I know that you are worthy of using such power"The man said as he handed Adam a black crystal"cool how do I use it?" Adam asked the man as the man shook his head"you can't have a Z-ring until you are worthy and for that matter I guess you can have this but you won't be getting the mega keystone either" The man said as he handed an absolite to Adam who attached it as a necklace around the dark type dogs neck. Adam just sighed because he still was not going to be able to use Z-moves or mega evolving for his gym battle just yet.

"Well I guess we should go now that we sort of have what we came for" Sally said as Adam tucked the Z-crystal and the mega stone into his backpack"I might give you the Z bracket and the mega keystone if you beat Quentin without the use of these abilities" The man said giving Adam confidence that he would be able to defeat Quentin without needing any special upgrades and could perfectly beat the water type gym leader the normal way like some of the other trainers would have done. Adam then decided that he needed to structure his team better and waved to the man before scanning his card to open the door and then headed down with his group back towards the Pokémon center so that they could catch up on some rest because they were going to have a very long day of hard training tomorrow as they opened up the lighthouse doors.

Adam saw that it was already night time and sighed as the group started making the long trek down towards the rooms they had waiting for them at the Pokémon center. They arrived at the Pokémon center at around 9.00pm which was bad since that was when they stopped serving dinner so Adam and the group had to go and get fried magikarp from a nearby seafood restaurant before heading back towards the Pokémon center. Adam unlocked his room and turned on the TV and tried to watch rewinds of the sinnoh league but he was too tired to watch any longer and he was soon fast asleep and dreaming of being in the roria league
Well tomorrow is the deadline for picking the Pokémon so I guess if you don't answer then I will just have to choose by my self. In chapter 26 Adam will of course be catching the Pokémon that he will get for his seventh addition in his roria adventure while Rose will get another Pokémon in chapter 27 but I will be picking hers myself.
