Chapter 10:second battle

Adam and Tom were sitting in the Pokémon center waiting around for the time to leave for brimber city"Tom I think I should have a battle so I can get my team to be more stronger" Adam said as Tom nodded"alright then everybody come out!" Adam shouted as his three Pokémon came out of their pokeballs"Adam where is absol?" Tom asked as he saw that absol was not with the other Pokémon"well I decided to let absol rest a little by going to route 3 to take a break" Adam said as he walked towards the battle fields behind the Pokémon center. Adam saw a young boy just then standing with three Pokémon which were a pansear,corphish and bulbasaur"hey there want to battle?" Adam said as the little boy nodded.

"By the way my name is joe" the little boy said as his simisear and bulbasaur both nodded happily. However his corphish just angrily swung its claws at Adam causing him to be a bit more cautious around the Pokémon"I'm sorry but corphish is not the best Pokémon that listens to commands" joe said as corphish started chasing after froakie and Adam's other Pokémon"froakie!" The frog Pokémon shouted as it was quickly chased up a tree by the corphish. Adam's Beautifly just looked on at what was happening as nidorino just went to talk with pansear"have you ever been in a battle before?" Adam asked Joe as he shook his head. Just then he spotted the arc badge in Adam's badge case and became excited.

"Wow you got the arc badge already? That's just awesome!" Joe said as he grabbed corphish to stop him from attacking Adam's Pokémon"well it was not really that exciting..." Adam said as Joe just looked back at his three Pokémon"I just lost of the silvent gym" Joe said sadly as he looked at his Pokémon"don't worry Joe I will give you my Pokémon so that you can train with them!" Adam said as Joe eyes sparkled"alright then!" Joe said as he paired pansear up with nidorino, Beautifly up with bulbasaur and froakie up with corphish. The Pokémon immediately began exchanging attacks except corphish who just seemed to want to chase froakie. Meanwhile Adam had gone to check on absol who was now training with a few of the Pokémon native to route 3"well done absol would you like to rest?" Adam asked the dark type as he shook his head

Later that day at the restaurant Adam and joe decided to have the battle soon but let joes pokemon have a bit more training"wait Adam did you compete in any pokemon leagues" joe asked as he looked at Adam up and down"yes I did and almost won in the kalos league" Adam said as Joes eyes sparkled"that means I got to meet someone that has been in the Pokémon leagues!"Joe cheered as he spotted a strange turtle like Pokémon that had a shell that looked like a big rock on it"Adam what is that!" Joe said frantically as he pointed at the weird Pokémon. However when Adam turned around he did not see any Pokémon behind him"I don't know what you are talking about Joe I don't see any Pokémon" Adam said as he looked at the exact spot the Pokémon had been"never mind I guess I was just imagining things"Joe sighed as Tom came over to the table they were having lunch at"well I guess we should get back to training" Adam said as he looked towards Joe. Joe just nodded and sent out all his Pokémon again along with Adam's Pokémon"then lets go!" Joe cheered

"I think we should lay of the battle until tomorrow" Adam said as he saw that it was starting to get dark. Joe agreed and instead continued training with his three Pokémon"pansear seems  really pumped since its going to be battling" Adam said as he looked over at joes fire monkey"yea It was the first Pokémon i caught in the roria region" Joe said as he looked over at his energetic monkey"that means bulbasaur is your starter,how about corphish?" Adam said as Joe just sighed and looked over at his red crab Pokémon"well it was not to long ago that I had been in rosecove city when I saw the corphish all tangled up in a fishing net" Joe explained as he looked over again at his agressive Pokémon"ever since he got tangled up in that net corphish has always been agressive and has never even listened to the commands that I give him" Joe said

The next morning In the Pokémon center Adam quickly rushed towards the battle field where Joe was waiting with his Pokémon with a referee"this battle will be between Joe and Adam who are both challengers, substitutions are allowed in this battle,it will be a three vs three battle,the battle ends when either sides pokemon are unable to battle! Begin!" The ref shouted as Joe sent out bulbasaur while Adam sent out froakie"use vine whip bulbasaur!" Joe shouted as the two green vines extended from the bulb on top of bulbasaurs back. Froakie just watched as the green vines came even closer"Froakie use quick attack to get away from the vines and then slam into bulbasaur!" Adam shouted as his Pokémon dodged the green vines and then quickly charged forward to bulbasaur. Adam thought that froakie was going to lose against his battle with bulbasaur until he rembered  what John had said when Adam had used froakie to battle charmander"type advantage is not everything". Adam then looked on as froakie came even closer towards bulbasaur preparing to attack.
