Chapter 3: mysterious battle

"Your Pokémon are all healed up" nurse joy said as Adam left the Pokémon center having done a lot of training since he had been beaten"well I guess there's not much to do here either except check out sawbucks coffee and gale woods" Adam sighed. Just then a small boy ran up to him"please take me with you I want to go on a pokemon journey!" The kid said as Adam nodded and let him"great! My names Tom you should come rest at my place before you continue your Pokémon journey" Tom said as he lead him towards his house. Adam looked and a sinister woman looking at him from one of the 3 other houses besides toms"Tom I know you want to go on a journey with this trainer but should you not wait?" Toms mother and father said as a strange sound of wings beating landed in chesma town. Adam went to a window and saw a man in a black mask climb off an aerodactyl and approach the house that had the woman in it. Suddenly a battle followed as the woman sent out a pancham and a poocheyena. The black masked man sent out a gyrados and pidegot but didn't mega evolve them since he knew that even in regular form his Pokémon were strong enough.

The masked man ordered his gyrados to use hyperbeam which instantly slammed into the small poochyena causing it to faint. The masked man then ordered the pidegot to use aerial ace on the pancham which caused both of her Pokémon to faint. Adam opened the door and listened in on the conversation between the two as the gyrados and pidegot surrounded the women"now then where is your base?" The man ordered her to tell him"like I would ever tell you" the woman said as the man flicked his hand causing a sharp claw to slowly close around her neck"I'm asking you nicely don't make me kill you" the man said as pidgeots grip became even more tighter around her neck as she started to gasp for air.

Just then Adam rushed up toward the masked man"you have to stop this right now!"Adam said as grabbed absols pokeball in case he needed to have a Pokémon battle"what are you going to do about you eclipse hooligam" the man said as he grabbed a pokeball and sent out a sceptile. Adam just sighed and sent out his absol. Meanwhile Rose had finally arrived at route 1"well I guess we will get to see what all that commotion was about then" Rose said to her snivy as she looked around only to see a lot of burnt trees and grass along with a few injured Pokémon"Rose gasped and ran towards the injured Pokémon and immediately took all of them one by one to the lab where they were all treated from their injuries. Pokémon trainer came and grabbed the remaining Pokémon starters leaving only the totodile until a girl came and grabbed it. She just looked on as the new trainer just battled each other with their Pokémon starters and then head back of.

"Froakie I choose you as well!" Adam shouted as the blue frog hopped out of its pokeball. Tom just watched in awe as the master recalled his gyrados and pidegot to let sceptile do the battling"hmmm so I see you are a rookie trainer with only two Pokémon?" The man Said as absol and froakie growled at him"well I guess news the time"sceptile use bullet seed!" The man shouted as a volley of bullets was flung towards the two Pokémon"absol and froakie dodge all the bullets before they hit you!" Adam shouted as the bullet seeds flew over the Pokémon heads"I see your Pokémon are both trained well you are a good trainer" the man said as his sceptile stop firing the volley of seeds"ok Absol use pycho cut!" Adam ordered. A wave of psycho energy sliced into the large green dragon like creature causing it to wince in pain as the attack did a fair amount of damage"seeing that you only have two Pokémon i think I will go easy on you" the man said as he removed the hand that was about to touch the mega evolution bracelet"thanks I guess but we nearly beat a mega salamance" Adam said

"Wait what! Never mind I will still go easy on you" the man said as his sceptile stopped crying out in pain from the previous attack"sceptile enough fooling around now use leaf blade!" The masked man shouted as the lizards tail turned green. Sceptile tried to slam down on absol and froakie but they dodged the attack again"ok froakie I want you to use bubble and absol I want use signal beam on sceptile!" Adam shouted. The bug beam and flurry of bubbles hit the grass and dragon type doing a bit more of damage but since sceptile was half dragon type if did not knock it out in one hit. Meanwhile Tom who was in his house was wishing he could do something to help Adam against sceptile since it looked like absol was getting weaker and weaker by the second"Tom don't stand so close" toms mom said as sceptile used leaf blade on absol and froakie which hit this time.

" now froakie use pound!" Adam ordered as froakie launched himself forward and attempted to punch the green reptile in the face. However sceptiles reaction was to quick as it swatted the small frog away with its large tail"froakie!" Adam shouted as the blue frog fell over and lay next to a tree unconscious"I see your froakie has been knocked out but that's not suprise" the man said"your Pokémon sure are strong!" Adam said as absol ran up towards the green reptile and attempted to slash at it with multiple cut attacks. However the sceptile dodge every single one of the normal type attacks and jumped over absol"this was a fun battle but I know that I will win it even without mega evolving my sceptile into mega sceptile" the man said and laughed. Meanwhile A boy aged 13 called john had finally arrived in silvent city and decided to challenge the silvent city gym and win with his three Pokémon a charmander,magikarp and a starly" he won barely with just his starly left"well I'm going to win the Roria legague for sure since I only have 7 badges left to get" John laughed confidently.

"Absol use psycho cut!" Adam said as the wave of pure physic energy sliced into the giant reptile causin it to faint and be returned to its pokeball"well I guess that was your first win but next time we battle I won't be going so easy on you" the man said as he sent out his aerodactyl and tapped his keystone causing the aerodactyl to mega evolve as the masked man got on and flew of towards the distance"well that was strange" Adam said as he returned his absol and got tom"my parents let me come on your journey" tom said excitedly as Adam nodded and walked for 3 hours before they reached silvent city.

So Adam has finally arrived in silvent city after 3 chapters. He will probably catch some more Pokémon next chapter. Here's Adam's team of Pokémon
