Chapter 14:roses second pokemon and second round

"Pidgey is unable to battle which mean Beautifly wins and Adam moves on to the third round!" The referee shouted as Beautifly and Adam both cheered. It had been a hard battle since Adam had started off with nidorino who had lost to machop while machop lost to frogaider. Frogaider managed to chip away at elekids health but was defeated by elekid but Beautifly managed to defeat elekid and just manage to defeat pidgey. In the first round there had been 32 trainers but now in the second round there were only 16 trainers and in the third round the trainer count would fall to 8 trainers. Adam looked at the time and saw that his tournament battle had been held at 11.00 am which gave him enough time to explore route 5 in more detail since he had been in a rush to get to the tournament and compete in the first round and then hopefully win the trophy.

"So Adam since you defeated that Winston kid do you know who you are going to fight next?" Tom asked as Adam decided to turn on the television to see who his third opponent in the tournament would be he saw that his third opponent would have a clawitzer as his main Pokémon as well as a grotle and a pikachu. Adam thought of using absol but had enough faith in his team to keep using them"hey Adam maybe we should explore the savannah a bit" rose suggested as Tom agreed it was a good idea"alright then I guess we have two hours before lunch so that we can explore the savanna" Adam agreed as he decided to not watch the rest of the tournament battles since they were very long and a bit boring. It was not long before a wild kangaskan appeared and looked around the area with a purple baby kangaroo poking out of its pouch. Adam scanned the kangaskan on his pokedex and found out that it was a normal type"cool I always wanted to get a normal type on my journeys through roria" rose said as she reached down to get an empty pokeball and also grabbed snivys pokeball just In case the kangaskan noticed them and started to run away in which case snivy could use vine whip to bring it back.

Just then the kangaskan looked around and finally spotted the group it suddenly started blocking the way back to the tournament arena"kangaskan we don't want to hurt you but if you want please come and join roses team" Adam said as the kangaskan took a step backwards as Adam took a step forward. Just then the kangaroos fist turned white as it reared it back and slammed the powerful Mach punch attack into Adam's chest causing him to go flying backwards as he sent frogaider out of his pokeball. Vulpix also agressively prepared to attack as rose sent her only Pokémon which unleashed its vines and prepared to battle with the angry normal type. The kangaroo just laughed as it held up the pokedex that is has stole.

"Alright vulpix use ember!" Tom shouted as his fox shot out the flames which spread toward the normal type at a fast rate"snivy use vine whip!" Rose shouted as the vines came out of snake as she whipped around the elongated length of grass. However the kangaroo jumped and kicked both the fire and grass attacks away as they both collided with the Pokémon that had used the attacks. The embers hit vulpix as the vines struck snivy across the face leaving only frogaider standing"alright frogaider return!" Adam ordered as he smiled and grabbed the pokeball that had his strongest member of his Pokémon team"alright its your time to shine go absol!" Adam shouted as his star Pokémon appeared. The dark type sized up it opponent. The two Pokémon stared at each other aggressively in a staring match"alright absol use night slash!" Adam ordered as the wave of pure dark energy formed up in the tip of absols head before the dark type prepared to unleash hell on the kangaroo. However the kangaroo hopped up and used double hit to create a big gust of wind that blew the night slash back as it slammed into snivy,vulpix and absol who were all out of their pokeballs. The smoke cleared to show absol standing but the weaker Pokémon could not take the powerful attack and had both fainted as Tom grabbed vulpix while rose returned snivy.

Just then the kangaroo hopped out of the dust and seemed even more angry"alright absol use mega horn!" Adam said as his dark types horn turned green before it swiped at the normal type and cause it to go flying into a large rock and get a bit dazed. Just then the normal type hopped over and grabbed toms vulpix and put in its pouch. It then grabbed roses pokeball with snivy and then let it out before putting it in the pouch as well. Frogaider was the last one she took as she gave a swift blow to the frogs head before putting it in its pouch"frogaider!" Adam shouted as Tom and Rose also called for their Pokémon just as the large kangaroo hopped off with the fire type,water type and grass type. Adam and the group then started running after the kangaroo with absol following after them. A few minutes later Adam and his group had almost gave up"if we can't find frogaider I might have to ask professor cypress for a new Pokémon and I know he doesn't have any" Adam said"but you will be fine since you at least have three other Pokémon" Rose sighed as she looked down at her belt were snivys pokeball would usually be"your right we can't give up we need to find them!" Tom exclaimed.
