Chapter 28: float badge

Adam woke up excited as today would be the day that he would be having a rematch at the Pokémon gym in Rosecove as he checked the time but sadly the Pokémon gym was still closed and Adam could not enter the Rosecove gym at this time but was certain that he would be able to get the float badge this time from Quentin as he sighed and decided to head down to the Pokémon cafe where the group was already waiting for him"ready for your gym battle Adam?" Tom asked the other boy as Adam nodded and looked down at the team he was going use that was currently clipped firmly onto his belt which was also carrying his other Pokémon as he smiled and decided to check the time again but still the gym was closed and no one could enter it at least until Quentin was back from his two day fishing and scuba diving trip near the crescent islands as Adam wondered what crescent island was like and what type of Pokémon lived there as well as if there was a gym there.

Suddenly Adam heard the sound of the gym door unlocking as he pumped his fist in the air since he would now be able to challenge the Rosecove and then proceed on towards to the beautiful city of aredia as Adam sighed and signed up for the earliest gym battle"well I see you're eager for our gym battle" Quentin said suddenly and gestured Adam to come to the Swimming pool arena that Adam had battled on when he battled quentin for the first time. The trainer and gym leader both headed into the trainer squares and prepared to face off against each other as Adam hoped that he would be able to win with the team he decided on. The referee who was a swimmer suddenly jumped out of the pool and surprised everyone as they thought that no one had been swimming in the pool since it had been quite dark and no one could see in the water"this will be a three on three Pokémon battle between Adam and Quentin and only Adam can substitute Pokémon,the battle ends when either sides Pokémon are unable to battle,Begin!" The referee shouted as the trainers prepared to face off.

"Well gorebyss is first up!" Quentin said as the pink fish appeared out of its pokeball and prepared to fight what ever Pokémon that Adam would send out at it"well I guess your not starting with wailmer this time which means I have to make a slight change in my plans but no worry's I've got it covered" Adam said confidently as the water type gym leader just smirked"Alright then come on out nidorino!" Adam shouted as the purple dino hopped out of its pokeball and glared at the pink fish which was going to be its opponent while they started growling at each other and waiting for the other Pokémon to make a move and attack while they also waited for their trainers to give them an order to attack the other Pokémon.

"Nidorino quick use poison sting!" Adam shouted as the barrage of purple darts fired towards the water type as it calmly waited for the purple darts to arrive"quick gorebyss use psychic" Quentin said calmly as well as the wave of energy made the purple darts break in half before they were sent back at Nidorino as well as a few rocks causing the purple dino to go flying and land down into the water where it struggled to get back onto the platform as it panted heavily at being hit by a large rock as it struggled to get back onto its feet as the rest of the group winced at nidorino not being able to get up since Nidorino would probably be the muscle of the team once again as the purple dino tried again to get up and this time it managed to get back up onto its feet and smiled back at its trainer before glaring back in the direction of gorebyss as they prepared to battle again.

"Alright Nidorino lets use a horn attack!" Adam shouted as the purple dinos horn turned white before it prepared to slam into the fish"use water pulse gorebyss!" Quentin shouted as the fish prepared to unleash a powerful ball of water in the direction of the purple dino as the Pokémon continued charging forward blindly as the pink fish waited for the perfect opportunity to unleash the ball of water while Adam suddenly noticed that gorebyss was planning something and prepared to stop Nidorino"use fury attack on the platform Nidorino!" Adam said as the purple dino stomped down hard on the platform multiple times causing dust to appear and blind gorebyss causing it to accidentally swallow the ball of water and making it lose its attack
