Chapter 24: battle at the rosecove gym

"this is awesome i get to have my third gym battle in a few minutes" Adam said excitedly as he sent out the pokemon that he had decided to use on the previous day. Golem,Pansear and frogaider all hopped out of the pokeballs that they had been kept in"guys i know that two of you are weak too water types but you need to try your best because type advantage is not the whole pokemon battle" adam said to his pokemon as they got slightly more confident than they were before Adam told them that. The pokemon had been training all of breakfast and before that had also been wondering why adam had chosen to use them over some of his more stronger pokemon such as nidorino and beautifly who would both be able to take down Quentins pokemon quite easily. Adam saw that the Gym was suddenly open and quickly beat five other trainers who were also going to battle in the third gym by signing himself up for the 10:10 AM battle which was ten minutes from the current time that was on now as adam rushed to get the group and tell them the good news that he managed to get himself one of the slots for battling the gym leader.

Adam spotted quentin heading to a door which was called the battlefield as he checked the time and saw that he still had five more minutes before he could have the gym battle that he had booked with quentin as the clock ticked closer towards the time that Adam would have his gym battle. Adam decided to get an Grape fanta and drank it when he suddenly heard his name be called over the loudspeaker which gave him the alert to go ahead and enter the battlefield on which he would he would be fighting on where he found out that the battlefield was surrounded by water.

'Hello challenger my name is quentin but i am positive that you have already found that out on your journey to this beautiful city' quentin said' it is really beautiful' adam agreed with quentin as he looked outside a window which looked out onto a beach as adam managed to spot a few water type pokemon swimming around in the water. They could not start the battle yet because the referee had not arrived to announce the rules and also who would win the pokemon battle that was taking place. Finally the referee arrived as he apologized for being late"this will be a three on three pokemon battle. Only the challenger is allowed to change out his pokemon and the gym leader is not. The battle ends when either of the sides have all three of their pokemon unable to battle. The gym leader can pick their pokemon first" the referee said as quentin grabbed one of the pokeballs off of his belt"alright i choose you, wailmer!" quentin shouted as the whale popped out of its pokeball as it grinned at adam who had prepared to choose one of the pokemon on his belt.

"alright i guess i will be starting of strong with frogaider!' adam shouted as he grabbed the wrong pokeball which was empty but quickly realized it before laughing nervously, causing the group members to face palm"alright this time for real!" adam said as he sent out frogaider who smirked at the opposing whale"well there really is no advantage or disadvantage between these two pokemon since they are both water types" sally said as she glanced at the two pokemon who had prepared to battle against each other, while she drank a drink that she had brought earlier"this battle will be between frogaider and wailmer,Begin!" the referee shouted as the two pokemon glared at each other.

'frogaider start of with a quick attack to knock wailmer over' Adam shouted as the frog quickly charged forward and prepared to slam its body into wailmer but of course quentin would not let that happen"use mist wailmer!" Quentin shouted as the white fog started covering the battle field and it got harder for frogaider to see. The mist even managed to freeze a bit of the battlefield causing frogaider to rush over it and slip up on it but adam managed to see that happen just in time"use bubble frogaider!' Adam shouted as the frog quickly flipped over so that it would land on its feet while shooting a volley of bubble in the air"after a few bubbles use a water pulse!" Adam shouted as the whale somehow managed to dodge each of the bubbles coming its way"use rollout to break the water pulse and then use an ice beam!" Quentin shouted as frogaider was first slammed into by the whales whole body before being shot at by the freezing cold beam of ice causing frogaider to land painfully on the ground as the water type struggled to get back on its feet.
