|| Chapter 17 ~ It's A Project ||

!READ DESCRIPTION!

"I don't know," I explained to Ivy during English. We were discussing the auditions. She agreed Riley was good but she wasn't so sure. English had dragged for the past few days. Mr Frenmus trying to pull inside jokes on us.

"Basically! The 'Get To Know Me' project is where I will force you to hang out!" Mr Frenmus smiled with delight. Everyone groaned and rolled their eyes but I was too distracted by the fact that Riley has a possible chance of being Wendy.
"Get up! Get out of my class and go hang out! Only with your partner!"
Everyone got up - except Janet and Janis who were confused and upset - and walked to their partners. As I slowly got up and packed my stuff away, everyone fled the classroom apart from Cameron Davlin who was staring right back at me. I grinned awkwardly and carried on.

"So, where are we gonna go?" He asked as he shoved his hands into his jacket pockets.

"Umm-," I put my bag on my back and walked over to him ",Library?"
He groaned and swirled round on his feet.

"Nerdy but okay," he mumbled to himself.

"What was that?" I caught up to him as we entered the quiet hallways side by side.
"How is it nerdy? Huh?"

"Books, words... more books," he struggled for the answers.

"Don't put up a fight with no evidence," I knew he had rolled his eyes at that.

The library was silent, no one else would of showed up to the room of books for the project. Riley definitely wouldn't. Waves of nausea rushed through me just thinking about her. I pushed Riley to the back of my brain into a bin that was later emptied by a bin man, Ferman, that finished his shift at 10am. I thought way too much! But for a fact he doesn't take the Robinson's bin because they made fun of his daughters school performance. I don't blame him to be honest.
"Are you okay? You seem... hypnotised," Cameron blurted out in the open space making me jump.

"Yeah! Yeah, I am okay! You?" I cried out. His eyes widened in shock then went back to normal. He nodded slowly and slumped down in one of the blue bean bags in the library. I, on the other hand, stayed standing glimpsing at every book my eyes could spot.
I suddenly felt self conscious when I noticed a pair of eyes had laid on me.
"What?" I asked him.

"Nothing," he looked away quickly and went to find some books. I shook the thought away and carried on.

We parted ways when the bell went. I went to Starbucks and he went to his dorm. When I opened the door all the hot, coffee smelling air hit me. I took a deep breathe and walked towards the counter, were a woman with tanned skin and a long black ponytail stood.
"Hey can I get a..." I thought for a moment before answering ",Iced Mocha!" She nodded and wrote it down. I stood at the end of the counter waiting for my drink.
Riley and Isaac entered Starbucks. Riley's hand gripped on his, dragging him to sit down.
I received my drink and I felt awkward.
WHERE DO I GO?!
I sat on the other table and looked out the window. I suddenly heard a gasp and I turned round only to see Ivy and Levi.
"What are you doing with her?!" She screamed at Isaac.

"It's a project," Riley said smugly.

"'Get To Know Me' project not a 'Try Date Leora's Boyfriend'," Ivy replied. I stood up so she could see me. Ivy and Levi walked over to me, she did not look happy. Isaac then got up from his 'date' and came over to me.

"You okay?" He asked me. I nodded as I noticed Riley, the big bad wolf, huff and puff and walked out.

Ivy and Levi went to their dorm and we went to ours.  Me and Isaac hardly spoke, too awkward I guess. Life hadn't been how I planned it to be but I guess I have to put more effort in, or I am going to end up being Ferman. Horrible Robinson's...
