I took a photo of her as we sat in a restaurant downtown. We walked down the cobbled streets and passed a few familiar faces on the way. Holding her hand and giving her gentle kisses as she calmly made conversation with me. We spoke about her photography - she says she loves it and is glad that she started with it. Her grandmother taught her before she passed away, she's never stopped talking photographs since. Also her music - that's always been a huge interest to her since she was a little girl. She sings like an angel and plays the guitar. She's amazing, I adore her.
We order our food and make small talk until it arrives. I stare into her beautiful blue eyes as she talks to me about whatever she wants, I'll always listen. I get lost in her luring eyes until the petite waitress comes rushing out with our orders. It was only a small restaurant in the corner of town, very cosy and extremely quiet. "I hope you enjoy your meals!" She smiles and jogs back over to serve more customers.
I eye up my food as my mouth begins to water. With Maya already digging in to her cheesy baguette, I start too. Chuckling with her when she gets a string of cheese still hanging from the French bread as she pulls way. Slowly chewing on our food as we savor every mouthful.
Maya recently got new glasses. Circular and thin, they looked great on her, and I let her know. "Babe, you look so cool." I smiled. I captured the moment she grinned back and thanked me. Her long brown hair, the way it falls on the side of her neck, down her shoulders and back. She looks so beautiful in this light, the way it brings out the blue in her eyes. I'm so in love.
We sat in comfortable silence as I payed for the bill. "We can go halves?" Maya suggested. "No, no. It's on me." I softly smiled at her and she placed her hand over mine, leaning across the table. We thanked the waiter wandered out of the restaurant hand in hand. I went to wrap my arm around my girlfriends waist when I got stopped by a young boy with his parent - it looked like. "Hi Chris," He spoke shyly. "Can I get a picture?" He asked. "Hi, sure!" I stood beside him and his father took a photograph of us both. "Thanks. I love your videos, quality content." He added. "Thanks buddy, appreciate it." I thanked and he walked off with a content grin planted across his face. "Wasn't that sweet." Maya exclaimed. "It's funny how people just recognise you and come up to you on the street and ask for a photo," She spoke, "Don't you think?" I nod profusely as she takes the words straight out of my mouth. "I totally agree." And wrap my arm over her shoulder to keep her warm over her winter coat and gave her a subtle kiss on the head as I did so.
i wanted to keep this chapter short but sweet, and yes i may have used some song lyrics in this because i'm basic
