Chapter Eight

[Eight]

***Lexi's POV***

"Beach day! Beach day! Beach day!" A voice chanted and shook my shoulder. My eyes fluttered open, to meet intense, bright blue ones.

"Nash, are you ok?" I asked with a giggle, sitting up. I'm sure my hair was a mess but I didn't really care.

"Yep! We're going to the beach today, and you're coming." Nash smiled at me, and Cameron piped in.

"It's our last day in Nashville and we all just wanted to hang out." He grabbed a pair of swim trunks from his suitcase, and walked into the bathroom. A couple of minutes later, he emerged and chucked my white bikini at me.

"Wear that." He smirked, and I rolled my eyes.

"Perve." I said, getting out of bed and walking into the bathroom.

I tamed my mess of hair, and threw it up into a messy pony tail. I pulled on my white bikini that Cam chucked at me, and a lose crop top on top of it. I decided against makeup today, we were going to the beach after all.

I walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my black Ray Bands, phone, and towel.

"LET'S GO!" Nash screamed, and practically ran out of the room.

"I swear, if I didn't know he was 16, I would think he was 6." Cameron rolled his eyes and I giggled.

Nash popped his head back in the room, "are you coming?"

Cameron walked out, and I looked at Nash. I smiled and batted my eyelashes, while he sighed. Nash bent over and turned around, allowing me to hop onto his back. I did and laughed, while he chuckled.

"Nash, I thought you liked Maddy?" I asked while he walked to the elevator.

"I do, but my parents want me to date Sarah. I don't know what to do." He sighed, and I nodded in understanding.

"If you really like Maddy, go for her. But in the end it's not up to me, it's up to you." I said and he thanked me. I kissed his cheek in a friendly way, and we got into the elevator with Cameron.

"Are you guys sure you aren't 6?" Cameron asked, and Nash stuck his tongue out at him.

"No! I'm 5!" Nash yelled and I laughed.

"Lexi!" Taylor poked me, and I looked up at him. I was sitting on my towel, next to Maddy and Hailey. We were laughing about how Hailey's younger brother, who is 8, thought Carter was a jerk.

"Come swimming?" Taylor asked with a puppy-dog face.

"Taylor-" Before I could even finish my sentence, Taylor picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. He started walking to the water, I'm guessing, while I had a good view of Maddy and Hailey laughing. I rolled my eyes and figured that he wasn't putting me down anytime soon.

"Taylor, where are we going?" I asked, mainly because I couldn't see.

"It's a surprise." I could practically see the smirk on his face with his words.

"It's not to the water, is it?" I asked.

"You ask to many questions, Lex." He said and laughed. I decided to shut up, because I knew he wouldn't answer anything.

Taylor finally put me down 10 minutes later, and I looked around. We were at a secluded part of the beach, with large rocks and soft sand. The water was a clear shade of blue, and the waves crashed gently. It was gorgeous.

"Wow." I said, walking towards the rocks. I sat down, and let my feet dangle over the edge. Taylor did the same.

"It's nice, isn't it?" Taylor asked, looking out into the gentle waves. I nodded.

"How did you find this?" I asked, looking at his profile.

"I dunno, I was walking around on the beach one of the first days we were here, and found this." He shrugged.

"Well, why would you take me here then?" I asked curiously.

"Come on, Lex. You're like my best friend." He cracked a smiled and looked at me, while I giggled and looked down at my feet.

"I wish we could just stay here away from the drama of this all." I said quietly, and leaned my head on Taylor's shoulder.

"Yeah." He whispered, and we just watched the waves crash.
