Chapter Ten

[Ten]

***Lexi's POV***

My eyes fluttered opened, and I sat up. I looked around the room, but no one was there.

"Cam?" I called out. My voice was raspy from sleep, and my throat kind of hurt, so I got up. I opened the mini-fridge in the room and grabbed a bottle of water. Chugging almost the whole thing, I called out again.

"Cameron freaking Dallas." My stomach rumbled and I groaned. I grabbed Jack G's hoodie (the one he gave me) and yanked it on. I threw my hair up in a pony tail, grabbed my phone, and walked downstairs for some food.

I wasn't completely sure where the breakfast buffet is, so I was just walking around. I opened two large doors, which lead to the room that Magcon would be held in.

"Ok so you're gunna-" I heard Cam say. He was quickly interrupted by Matt's contagious laugh. I smiled to myself, and walked to an open room in the back. I saw a shirtless Matt, Cameron, and the Jacks.

The guys all noticed me, and gave me a surprised look

"Sorry, I interrupted your, uh..." I stood and waited for someone to finish my sentence.

"Nudist convention." Matt said into an unplugged microphone. Jack J jumped up, also shirtless, and waved his arms in the air. I couldn't see the bottom half, because the podium was in the way.

"Woo!" He cheered. I raised my eyebrow and looked at Cam and Jack G, who were trying to hide their laugh by a cough.

"Vine?" I asked, and they nodded.

"Ok, well, uh, you have pants on, right?" I said, referring to Matt and Jack J.

"Yep!" They said, and I nodded.

"Anyway, can someone tell me where the breakfast buffet is? I will starve if I don't eat soon." I smiled sweetly, and Cameron pipped in.

"Down the hall and to your left." I nodded, and walked out of the room, following his directions.

I opened another set of doors, and saw a huge breakfast buffet. Score!

I grabbed some pancakes and bacon, then sat down. Not even a couple bites in, Maddy sat down at the chair across from me. I looked up, and raised my eyebrows at her.

"Yes?" I asked before stuffing another forkful of pancakes in my mouth.

"Nothing." She said with a smile that hasn't been wiped off her face. Maddy rested her chin on her palm, and looked at me.

"Ok, spill." I said, finally putting down my fork and giving her all my attention.

"I have a date later." She announced. I raised my eyebrows, waiting for her to tell me more details.

"Nash asked me out!" She squealed, and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"Finally! You want me to help get you ready later?" Maddy nodded, and her phone rang.

"Gotta take this, I'll text you later, bye!" Maddy jumped out of her seat, and ran out, talking on her phone. It was probably Nash. I didn't realize how bad she had it for him until now. Maddy seemed so... Happy.

I finished my breakfast, and walked back into the room where Magcon was.

"One, two, three!" Jack G yelled, who was recording.

Matt, Cameron, and Jack J had those big yoga balls that we would throw into the crowd. They all charged for each other, and Cameron fell back, Jack J didn't move, then Matt was basically airborn. Jack G and I were laughing our asses off.

He groaned in pain, and we all walked over to him. Cameron helped him sit up, "man up, bro!" He said, then playfully hit his back.

Another groan escaped Matt's mouth. "Never doing that again." Matt said, and I giggled.

"You guys are idiots." I said, and Jack J pipped up.

"You love us!" He yelled, and I rolled my eyes.

Everyone soon started to pile in for Magcon, and we went through the normal routine.

"Maddy! I brought Hailey!" I called into the hotel room. We were going to help Maddy get ready for her date with Nash.

"Ok! I'm in the bathroom!" She yelled back, and we walked into the bathroom.

"Whoa." Hailey and I said at the same time. It looked like a bomb went off, with makeup and clothes everywhere. There was Maddy, standing in the middle of it all. Nash and Matt were out somewhere, so Maddy had the room to herself.

"I need help?" Maddy said, in more of a question than a statement. We just nodded.

"Ok, you do her hair, I'll pick out an outfit." Hailey said, and ran off into the other room. I plugged in the curling wand and waited for it to heat up.

"So where is the date?" I asked, gently sectioning off her hair.

"He's taking me out to dinner, then a surprise." She said, painting her nails a bright pink color.

I nodded, and curled her hair until I was satisfied with the lose waves. I took the two pieces of hair hanging in the front, and pulled them back. I braided the two pieces, to make a hair crown. It looked perfect.

"I am a genius! Hailey, you ready?!" I yelled out.

"Yeah!" She called back, and I lead Maddy into the other room. Hailey held up a strapless, high-low, floral dress. The top was a tighter, and the bottom was flowy. She paired it with bright pink sandals, and it looked good. We pushed Maddy into the bathroom for her to change.

A few minutes later, she emerged and our jaws almost hit the floor.

"Holy shit." Hailey said, and I hit her arm playfully.

"Well?" Maddy asked, spinning in a circle for effect.

"Amazing." Hailey said.

"Nash will be head over heels for you." I said, and Maddy giggled.

"NOW GO! I expect details when you get back, and no longer than 11:00, got it?" Hailey pointed her finger at Maddy, who held up her hands in surrender. She walked out to meet Nash in the lobby, and Hailey and I high-fived.
