Chapter Twenty Five

[Twenty Five]

***Lexi's POV***

"So, my sister is getting married in two days, and I know it's short notice, but she said both of you can come. Lily also said that I could invite the guys from Magcon, so please tell me you can go!" Hailey said in all one breath.

"A wedding? In two days?" Maddy asked, raising her eyebrows. Hailey nodded.

"Well, she's been planning the wedding for months, but I asked yesterday if I could invite you." Hailey explained, and I pulled the pillow next to me onto my lap. I was sitting on the floor, leaning on the side of the bed, with Maddy laying on her back next to me, and Hailey sitting on her feet in front of me.

"I'll go." I said, causing them both to look at me. I shrugged, "What? Why not?"

"I guess. I'll go, too." Maddy sighed, and Hailey jumped up excitedly.

"Great! Lexi, text the guys, I'll call my sister." She said, running out of her room. I rolled my eyes, and started a group chat.

'hailey's sister lily is getting married in two days, you're all invited. please say you can come (:'

I pressed send, and about 10 minutes later, everyone agreed.

"Hails! Everyone can come!" I yelled down the stairs, and heard her squeal. She soon came back into her room, with the biggest smile on her face.

"Excited to see Carter, or something?" Maddy said, and I giggled.

"Maybe." She said, "Let's go buy dresses?" Hailey asked, and we nodded.

"Yes!" Hailey and I screamed in sync, when we saw Maddy in a knee-length, strapless, coral dress. Her skin tone went well with the dress, and it looked perfect on her.

Hailey was wearing a bridesmaid dress. It was an emerald green, one-shoulder dress. It ended just above the knee, and complimented her eyes perfectly.

"Your turn!" Maddy exclaimed, pushing me into the dressing room, after she had changed.

I tried on about 10 dresses, before putting on the last one. I slipped it on, and it fit like a glove. The sweet-heart neckline and mid-thigh length made the dress. It was a tiffany-blue color, with a light material.

I stepped out, and Hailey and Maddy's jaws dropped.

"Get it." Hailey commanded, smirking. Maddy nodded.

"You look awesome in it!" Maddy exclaimed, and I cracked a smile.

"Why, thank you." I said, twirling.

I stepped back into the dressing room, changing back into my shorts and t-shirt.

***Cameron's POV***

"A wedding?" Taylor asked, sitting next to me on the couch.

I shrugged, and he smirked. "Guess I don't have to leave yet."

"Yeah, I don't wanna go." I said, standing up. I paused the basketball game on T.V, and started walking towards the kitchen.

"Why?" He asked from the living room.

"Weddings aren't really my thing..." I trailed off, grabbing an apple and walking back into the other room.

"You're going, because it's not fair if all of us do and you don't." He sternly said, while I sat back down next to him.

"Fine, whatever." I said, and Taylor's phone rang.

"Hello?" He said, into the speaker. He shot me a, 'I-gotta-take-this' look, and I nodded. He stood up, walked into the kitchen, and I took a bite of my apple. I un-paused the game, turning my attention towards the T.V.

***Taylor's POV***

I walked into the other room, making sure I was out of ear-shot.

"Ok, yes?" I said into the speaker.

"Well? Is he coming?" Hailey asked.

"Yeah, I got him to. What about Andrew?" I asked.

"Not invited. Alright, I gotta go, the girls are calling me. We'll talk more later." Hailey said from the other line, then hung up.

We decided that Cameron and Lexi could finally see that they should be together at the wedding. I guess you could said that we were setting them up.

I walked back into the living room, and sat next to Cameron on the couch. I turned my attention towards the basketball game.

"What was that about?" He asked, taking a bite of his half finished apple.i

"My mom." I said, not turning my head away from the T.V. I saw him nod in understanding through the corner of my eye, and knew he bought it.
