[Forty Four]

***Lexi's POV***

I woke up to my phone ringing. I groan, and open my eyes to see that Taylor isn't in his bed. I hear the shower running, and knew that Taylor was in there. I grabbed my phone off the night stand and answered it.

"I hate who ever this is for waking me up." I say, my voice raspy from sleep.

"Good morning to you, too, beautiful." The voice on the other end said, and a smile instantly spread onto my face.

"Morning, Cameron." I said, sitting up and leaning on the bed-board, "By any chance, have you eaten yet?" I ask.

"Nope. I just walked out of my room to grab something, wanna come?" He asks.

"Sure, meet me by my room." I say, and he agrees, hanging up.

I dragged myself out of bed, and walked over to my suitcase. I grabbed white jean shorts, and a baby blue, lose, long sleeve t-shirt from one of my basketball teams. I quickly change while Taylor is still in the bathroom, and pull on white high top converse. I brushed out my hair, which was still straight from yesterday. The door opened, and Cameron walked in, smiling at me.

"Hey." He said.

"Hi." I say, grabbing my phone, "Ready?"

He nodded, and took my hand in his, intertwining our fingers.

"Taylor! I'm getting breakfast with Cameron!" I yell, and hear him say something from behind the bathroom door, but couldn't make it out.

Cameron and I made our way down to the lobby, and decided to walk around a little because it was nice out. We haven't really told anyone that we were dating yet, not even our friends.

"So, ready for the tomorrow?" Cameron asked, referring to Magcon. He casually looked around at the different shops.

"Yeah, it's been a while." I say. There isn't a lot of people out today, which is nice. We walked into this little café, and ordered.

"So, Nash came up with the idea to rent a boat while we were down here." Cameron says.

"I'm in. Where will he even get the boat?" I ask, taking a sip of my water.

"Don't know, but knowing him, he'll figure it out." He says, and I giggle. I notice 3 girls, about our age, whispering to each other and looking at us. Cameron followed my gaze, then looked back at me.

"Lex, don't worry about it." He said, putting his hand on top of mine across the table. I smiled a small smile.

"Are you Cameron Dallas?" One girl asks, coming over to us. She had long, strawberry blonde hair and green eyes.

"And are you Lexi Summers?" The other one asks. This girl had long, blonde hair with blue eyes.

"Yeah." Cameron says, smiling, while I nod.

"Can we get a picture?" The third girl asks. Her green eyes are bright, and her bleach-blonde hair is long as well. They were all pretty. Really pretty.

"Sure." Cameron says, standing up. They each take a picture with him.

"Are you guys dating?" The first girl asks. Cameron looks at me, then smiles.

"Yeah. We are." He says, not taking his eyes off me, and I smile. The girls leave, and I give Cam a questioning look.

"I want people to know. I'm not ashamed of you or anything. Is that ok?" He asks, and a weight gets lifted off my shoulders.

"Yeah. It's great." I say, and he smiles.

I scrolled through Twitter, and casually favorited some tweets. Taylor was laying on the floor, doing the same. I pushed him off my bed, onto the floor, and he didn't feel like getting up.

"Lexi, your birthday is in two days?" Taylor asks.

"Yeah, why?"

"Why didn't you tell us?" He whines, rolling over onto his back to look up at me.

"It's not that big of a deal." I say with a chuckle.

"Yeah it is! You're turning 18!" He practically screams, standing up.

"It's just a birthday, Taylor." I say.

Taylor opened his mouth to protest, but his eyes light up. He smiled, almost as if he had an idea. "Alright," he says.
