Chapter Twenty Eight

[Twenty Eight]

***Cameron's POV***

"I need your help." I said, bursting through Maddy's bedroom door. Her and Hailey both looked up at me from the computer.

"Uh, with?" Hailey asked, confusion in her features.

"I want to take Lexi out on a date." I said, sitting on the chair next to her desk. They looked at each other and smiled, closing the laptop.

"You came to the right people. So, tell us your idea." Maddy said with a smile.

I began to explain my idea, and their faces instantly light up when I finished.

"That's perfect. We'll help." Hailey said, and I smiled.

***Lexi's POV***

"You are going on a date, and Mr. Romance asked us to help get you ready." Maddy sang, walking into my room and going straight to my closet.

"Mr. Romance?" I laughed, closing my laptop and getting off of my bed.

"Yes, now come on!" Hailey yelled, pushing me towards the bathroom. She sat me down on the counter, and started curling my hair into soft curls.

"Is anyone going to tell me what's going on?" I asked, while Hailey wrapped another piece of hair around the curling iorn.

"Nope!" Maddy yelled from my room.

About 10 minutes later, my hair and makeup was done. Hailey did a good job, and Maddy was waiting in my room.

She threw an outfit at me, and I quickly changed. Maddy gave me lose, white skirt that ended about mid-thigh, but began right above my belly-button. She paired it with a black, t-shirt crop top. It was simple, but perfect for a date. I added my black pumps, completing the look. (A/N: picture on the side)

"Now, we're your first clue." Hailey said, smiling.

"Clue?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah. Now shush." Maddy said, and Hailey took out a little piece of paper, handing it to me. I read the messy handwriting, and smiled.

'You're probably really confused, but that's ok. I love how you're ready for an adventure, even if you don't know what's happening. Go outside to find the second clue. -Cam'

Hailey handed me my purse with my phone in it, and smiled, pushing me out the door. I walked outside, to see Jack G leaning against a black car. He smiled when he saw me, handing me another piece of paper. The messy hand writing was the same, and I noticed a pattern.

'I'm going to call this Cam's scavenger hunt. Good, right? Anyway, I love how you're smile can light up a whole room, and make me smile, too. Jack will drive you to find clue number 3. -Cam'

Jack G opened the passenger-side door for me, and I got in. He jogged around to the driver's side, getting in, and driving.

"Where are we going?" I laughed, looking out the window.

"Obviously to clue number 3." Jack G said, smirking. I rolled my eyes, and Jack G stopped the car.

"Have fun, but not too much fun." He said, pointing a finger at me. I giggled, and got out.

I looked around, to see a café. Matt and Shawn walked out with coffees, laughing. I looked at them, and raised my eyebrows. Matt waved, and Shawn handed me another note.

'I bet these two idiots got coffee. Anyway, this is where I saw you, Maddy, and Hailey last year. I'm not sure if you remember, but you spilt coffee all over me. That was when I first met you, and I know you forgot, but I never did. I knew Maddy then, so it wasn't just an accident with a stranger. Walk two blocks down, and get clue number 4. (: -Cam'

"Which way?" I asked Matt, who pointed down the street. I thanked them, and started walking. I put the note in my purse with the others, and saw Carter with Jack J.

They smiled at me, and handed me a note with a rose.

'Don't worry, it's almost over. I love the way you can tell me anything, even though you don't want to let anyone in. You're soft and pure, just like this rose. I love that about you. Turn the corner, and meet up with Nash. He'll walk you to clue number 4. -Cam'

I smiled at Carter and Jack J, thanking them, then turning the corner. I walked a block, then saw Nash.

"Hey." He said. I smiled, and started walking with him.

"Hey. Do you have any clue where we're going?" I asked, hoping to get some information.

"Can't say, Lex." He said with a smirk.

We continued walking, until we reached a familiar trail. Taylor stood at the beginning, and he gave Nash a bro-hug. Nash left, and Taylor handed me another piece of paper with a smirk.

'One more clue left. I love the way you aren't scared to hang with the guys, but can definitely rock a dress. I remember on our first date, (yes, I consider it a first date) you jumped out of your window. Most girls- actually, all girls- I know would never do that. I love that about you, and follow the trail to clue number 5. -Cam'

"Can you walk me half way?" I asked Taylor, who nodded. We started walking up the trail, and he nudged me.

"I'm happy that you're with Cameron. He really makes you happy, doesn't he?" Taylor asked, and I felt heat rise to my cheeks.

"Yeah, he does." I said, smiling. We walked for another minute or two, and Taylor had to go. I gave him a hug goodbye, and continued walking up the trail. Walking this trail in heels wasn't too easy, but hopefully worth it.

I saw Cam, and instantly smiled. He stood a couple feet away from an opening, and held out a note.

'Congratulations, you completed Cam's scavenger hunt! I could name a million reasons why I love you, but I can't fit it all on paper. I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, and all that you will be. I just hope you love me the same. -Cam'

I smiled, and looked up at him. I leaned up and kissed him. It wasn't a quick peck, but it wasn't an extreme make-out session.

"Yeah, I do." I said, answering his question on the last line. He smiled, and gently took my hand in his, leading me through the opening.

It was the cliff that Cam drove us to when we almost kissed. He set up a picnic, with string lights wrapped around some of the trees and everything. The stars light up the night sky, and the city view was breathtaking. The picnic was set up in the center of the area, over looking the city.

"I love it." I said, smiling. Cam sat down on the blanket he laid out, and I sat next to him.

"I had a little help from everyone, as you can tell." He said, chuckling.

"It's perfect." I said, putting my hand on top of his. I could tell he was nervous, but I wan't lying. It was absolutely perfect.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you, too."
