We followed the river all the way into the heart of the bush today, where the waterfall was. The rocks were all worn smooth, and there were heaps of little pools all around, some big and deep enough to swim in. It sucked, though, because I'd gotten my period so I couldn't swim, and I stayed on the edge, in the shade where the ferns were growing.
The others tried to encourage me to get in, but I told them I hated deep water, and so they left it. Kyra seemed to understand, and sat on the edge with me while the others wrestled.
