The day I moved in with him, I was so nervous, I felt sick. It was a long drive, to do in one day, but, it was worth it, when I pulled up in the driveway of my new home, waving to the five of them where they were all relaxing in the stump chairs.
I shouldn't have worried about how the others would react to me; they were as pleased to see me as I was to see them.
"Want some help unpacking?" Edgy asked me as I sat cross- legged on the old, rainbow striped carpet beside him and Kyra.
"We can do it later," Rae told her, glancing at me, "you look tired."
"It's a long drive," Kyra told her, putting an arm around me.
All my apprehension and anxiety about my decision had gone, seeping from me into the ground, like the magic was being worked on me already. I relaxed next to Kyra, smiling as he turned his head to press a kiss to mine. Edgy and Rae began teasing us straight away, and Keira threw a stick at them to shut them up.
"Missed you," Kyra murmured to me, ignoring them all.
"Missed you more," I told him with a grin.
"You guys are lame!" Rae called.
"Like you can talk!" Kyra countered, which was the beginning of their friendly bickering.
I looked helplessly to Caleb, who was staring just as helplessly at his girlfriend as she argued with Kyra. He turned to me and shrugged.
"Welcome home," he told me, "you'll get used to it."
