Salutations

The sunrise had been nice, especially with Ash, but coffee was definitely my favourite way to wake up.  She agreed with that.

She went and got in the shower, and I got in after, when she was done, ready to start the day, whatever we were doing.

I found her in the lounge room with Kee, who was taking her slowly through every step of the Sun Salutation.

Rae was at the table, sipping chamomile tea, gazing out the window, and I went to join her.

"Morning," I said brightly.

"You're in a good mood," she observed, raising an eyebrow suggestively, "considering how early you were up."

"Shit, we didn't wake you, did we?"  I apologised, but she shook her head, smirking.

"I didn't hear Ashley sneak out to meet you," she teased, "but, then, I didn't hear her go to bed, last night, either."

"Shut up," I told her, my smile giving me away.

"You like her, don't you?" Rae murmured, grinning up at me from across the table.

"Course I do," I replied, rolling my eyes. "She's a cool chick, who wouldn't like her?"

"I mean like like," Rae persisted.

"Rae-"

"Don't look at me like that." She rolled her eyes at me this time.

"What?" I laughed uneasily, and shook my head. "I'm not looking at you like anything."

"You need some love in your life, Kyra," She insisted, but I shook my head again.

"I have heaps of love in my life," I argued, but she fixed me with a reprimanding look.

"You need a girlfriend, I what I'm saying."

"I don't need anything."

"You'd be so good together."

I shrugged.

"If it's meant to happen, it'll happen." I glanced into the lounge room again as Kee finished running Ash through a rep of Sun Salutations, both of them giggling together. "I'm not going to try and force anything."

Rae nodded as Kee and Ash joined us, thankfully putting an end to our conversation.

"Remind me not to do that again, anytime soon," Ash groaned, dropping down onto the chair next to me. "From now on, I'll probably stick to saluting the sun with a casual wave, like normal people."

"I'm not sure that normal people are renowned for waving at the sun all that often," I pointed out.

"You know what I mean!"
