"Okay, this is yummy," I told him around a mouthful. "Did you make this one up, too?
"Kee did," he explained, smiling as he twirled the fork in his bowl. "She hates cooking, so this one's quick and easy."
"It's kind of like pesto," I observed and he perked up.
"Oh yeah," he agreed. "I hadn't even thought of that."
"You know what you should call it?" I grinned and he gave me an imploring look.
"What?"
"Hey pesto."
"You just made every single dad in the world proud."
