Hey, Ash?
Yeah?
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Honestly?
Yeah.
Don't laugh...
I will.
Then, I'm not telling you!
Alright, I won't laugh.
Yes you will.
I'll try not to.
...
I wanted to be a cat...
A... cat?
Kyra, you promised you wouldn't laugh!
I said I'd try not to, not that I promise I wouldn't.
Well, what did you want to be?
A super hero.
That's so cute.
Ha. Right...
...
If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be?
...
The ability to manipulate probability.
Woah, that's a good one.
What would you have?
Something useless, like, the ability to explode my own head and grow it back.
Ew! Why?
Avoid awkward conversations easily.
That's a good point.
Knowing my luck, I'd end up with some stupid power, like telekinesis, but I only had the ability to use it when I was black out drunk, so I don't even remember that I have it when I'm sober. Then, when I tried to fight the bad guy, I'd just end up making a massive mess of the city and everyone would be cross with me. Then, I'd keep trying to be the good guy and clean it all up, but I'd have to do it with a killer hangover.
Kyra, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard...
Then, why are you laughing?
Because it's funny.
Come on, this stuff writes itself.
I sense a new Marvel film coming up...
...
Hey, Kyra?
Yeah, darlin'?
Now that you're grown up, what would you like to be?
Just happy.
Happy?
Yeah. You know?
Not really...
Well, I could have a good paying job and all that, but what's the point of it unless I'm actually happy?
Oh, I get it.
Yeah, you get it.
What are you smiling about?
Just you.
Me?
Yeah.
Why?
Why not?
I don't know...
...
...
You asleep, Ash?
Yeah.
I thought so.
...
