She met some more people, two backpackers.

The girl was from Germany, and had a bright green woven top on that complimented her completion.

The guy was from New Zealand and had long, tangled, dirt blonde hair that wasn't quite dreadlocks, but wasn't quite not, either.

They talked about the beauty of music, the feelings you got when you discovered a new song, the way you could become lost in it's foreign melody, and how it seemed to become more solid as you learn your way around it, like a maze you've been through too many times.

They talked about the people who came and went from your life, how we should always be thankful for them for sharing the universe and experiences with us, both good and bad, no matter what.  How we should love those who stayed and wish well those who went their own way.

They talked about inner energy, how the sort of energy you give off is what determines the type of people you attract.  How, if you respect and love yourself, then others will respect and love you as well.

They talked late into the night, then, finally, they said goodnight, and Ashley went to sleep in the back of her car.
