"Huh? What?" I say groggily, snapping my head up, and opening my eyes quickly.

"Lea. Wake up." Someone whispered above me.

After about twenty more  seconds of waking up, I sat up on the couch. "I fell asleep."

"Yes, you did."

"Bretton?" I got up frantically, looking around for Kia. "Kia!"

"Who?" He paused, "The girl who was asleep on the bed?"

"Yes!"

"She's in the prison. That's what I'm talking to you about, also."

"What? Why'd you put her in there?" I started to leave the room, I didn't know where the prison was, but I'd find it. "She's my friend!"

"She's a rogue. Now calm down."

"I will not calm down until you bring me to where Kia is." I spin around, slightly furious about what he did. "Now!"

Bretton growled, grabbed both my arms, and lead me down the hall. When he left out the front door, I knew he was bringing me to the prison.

It was terrible. I would not want to be sent into one of these places. "Kia?" I call, walking down the cells frantically, ignoring the other people sitting in these horrid cells. "Kia!" I spot her sitting, because of the clothing of mine she was wearing. I ran up to the cell, and knelt by the bars. "I am so sorry. I fell asleep, and I didn't hear anyone come to take-"

"It's okay. It's just a misunderstanding."

"What is? That you trespassed  on my land?" Bretton growled behind me.

"Bretton! No! She was driven from her pack by the rogues. Don't blame this on her!" I wailed, "Please get her out of here."

"No. I won't. She's a rogue, and just because you helped her, doesn't mean she's safe."

"Ugh! Bretton, when you said for me to meet you in the office, I waited for about an hour,  I left your office and realized-" Bretton cut me off, but I raised my hand to silence him. "I'm speaking! -that no one was in the house. No one. I heard a scream, and another one, and found her bloody in a clearing, so I sat with her for a couple hours and finally got her to shift. I brang her to the pack house, and she stayed the night. No harm has been done here. She's harmless. Kia isn't a rogue."

"First, you don't just randomly approach a wolf, it's dangerous, two, you warn me about this-"

"You weren't in the house! I didn't know where you were!"

"We had a rogue attack, and I had to send some people out to their own houses, and get some warriors out to fight."

"Rogues were roaming around, and I was alone in the house. Nice." I couldn't blame him though, but I was just angery at him for keeping Kia in the prison. "Just, please, get Kia out. I don't like her in here. If she ends up becoming a traitor, I'll owe you, but I have to tell you, she isn't a bad person."

After  a few minutes, Bretton reluctantly agreed, and we brought her back inside. I quickly went into the kitchen with her, and gave her food. She was starving.

"Bretton." I call, leaving Kia to eat, and spot him in the living room, his head in his hands. I walk up to him, and sit by him on the couch. I rub his back soothingly. I didn't know what was wrong, or if anything was wrong, but I he seemed to need some comfort. "Something the matter?"

"No." He removes his hands, and wraps his arms around me. "Just drop it, it's nothing."

I decided not to prod him on the topic, until I heard the door slam open. As I enter the kitchen, I witness Braxton bursting through the kitchen, swooping Kia in his arms, and dashing out the kitchen. "Bretton! What's he doing?" I run up to beat Braxton, but Bretton wraps me in his arms.
