Never give me time to think.
Keep me bone breaking busy.
You see, my mind simmers
restless
waiting
for a chance to boil over
and burn me
so I continue to stir
with only the thought of
silver dollars
weighing my eyelids down.
Stretch me too thin
because then I eat meals
so at least my
suffering
sore
working
muscles
aren't getting thinner
too.
Press my buttons.
They get stuck
without use.
Can't be used.
Won't feel at all then.
Make me light up
respond
activate all systems
Don't worry
about overheating
I'll fuel it.
Seas of equations.
The crashing of waves
fills the need
to count the drone
of minutes ticking.
Make me run.
Adrenaline
covers bruises.
Emotionally
physically
running.
Run too many numbers
across my mind
no time to overthink
any single one.
I don't have time
to be anxious.
I'm
too
busy.
