Sorry.
When was the last time
that was a board game
and not a desperate plea?
Battleship sails real oceans
and each ship carries real men.
Risk seems to lack more reward
as of late.
Thrill is found other ways.
Life is a game
I was much better at
years ago
with plastic pieces
not plastic people.
It's just chute after chute
so where are the ladders?
You can't Say Anything.
it leaves paper cuts
but it doesn't seem
to stop people.
No one seems to want
to play fair.
I don't have a Clue
when we got serious.
Lately the phrase
I win
has gotten a little scary.
Toppling down
is social structure
not Jenga.
It's all just a big Monopoly
and I know these comparisons
aren't Apples to Apples
but I don't want to play anymore.
It's hard to keep this Pokerface
when no one calls Bullshit.
There aren't any winners.
It's all just about
who can cheat the best.
