Alec
"Max?"
I remembered this place too well. The way the soft light shining through the window and most of the thing smelled like wood and light spices and home. Lightwood Manor. And this was the kitchen. Max was sitting on the kitchen island with a book on his laps, a comic book.
He moved his face up on my voice, his grey eyes catching me. A huge smile on his face. "Alec!"
"Open your eyes, Alec. Please."
I smiled and stopped in front of him, messing his hair softly and he nuzzled his head to my hand, like how cats would do. "Morning, Max."
His grey eyes were wide and bright, his smile turned into a grin. "Look, I got a new comic book, Alec."
"Yeah?" I sat next to him as he reached out his hands and gave me the book. "What is it about?"
"It's about a hero, she tried to save people she loved. Unfortunately, one day she had to leave so they all would be alright," Max said, "she was so lonely when she left."
"She?" I asked. "I thought you liked comic books with men as the hero."
"Not always." He stated.
I nodded. "Where'd you got that? Did mom or dad bought you that?"
Max shook his head. "No, the lady made this for me. It isn't perfect, but she drew this pretty well. And I like the story."
'Stay alive Alec. The silent brothers told us you might not wake up. But I know you will. I know. I can feel it through my parabatai runes. I can feel it that you will make it.'
"The lady?" I asked.
Max nodded delightfully, placing the book on my laps. I took it and looked at it, scanning the page. It was unlike other novel I had ever seen, the drawings looked realist and hand-written. Though the faces were not pictured clearly. The page showed a picture of a red haired girl staring outside her window, a sword on her window frame, her fingers touching the sword unconsiously. Even from the gesture, it showed how upset she looked.
"Alec, don't leave me."
"Who is the lady that gave you this?" I asked again, suddenly feeling the urge to know.
"The lady refused to tell me her name. But she had taken care of me since I got here. I think she would show up briefly, she always did." Max said, taking back the book from me.
"Please, wake up."
A sound of door opened suddenly came to my ears, followed by steady sound of footsteps. "There she comes!" Max said delightfully, jumping off from the kitchen island. His small feet took him to the kitchen entrance where he eagerly waited.
I hopped off the kitchen island as well.
"Alec, Alec, Alec Lightwood. Please, stay with me. Stay alive. Stay breathing. Please."
A woman showed up, her hair was the lightest shade of brown, nearly blond. Her eyes was reddish brown, the color of amber. Like a tamed flame of a burning star. Beautiful under the sunrays that came from the window. A bright smile on her lips as he greeted Max by patting softly on the cheek.
