[ Happened a few months after CoHF. But in the story, let's pretend that Malec never happened (ps. sorry). And it's okay if you haven't read the book, I won't relate much things from it anyway. ]
Clary
"Are you sure you don't want to come with us?" Jace said as he put his warm hand on my cheek.
He and Isabelle were going to go to London Institute for about a week or so because there were some new shadowhunters that would be transferred there. Robert Lightwood thought that it would be a nice idea if Izzy and Jace introduced them to the facility and helped them to train for their first few weeks there.
Personally, I thought it was actually a nice thing for Izzy to distract her mind from what had happened between her and Simon.
They called their relationship off a few months ago, and even though Izzy never really mentioned it, I knew the event gave her a quite deep wound that hadn't heal better yet."No, thanks," I shrugged, "You'll only leave for a week, I'll be alright here. It's not like I will burn the institute down or anything." I grinned playfully.
"Yeah, considering you're left in a good hand over there," Jace chuckled as his golden eyes flickered towards Alec and Magnus -which none of them were good at handling people.
I laughed at his words. "Whatever you say, Mr. Herondale."
Jace smiled so beautifully before he hugged me inside his warm arms for a while, at least until Izzy started to yell at us, "Oh come on you lovebirds! If your 'goodbye' takes an hour long, then I might as well go to London myself!" Her brown eyes then travelled to me and a big smile curved on her lips. After waving her hands she turned to Alec and gave him a hug. Shortly she was already jumping through the portal.
Jace took my hand as we walked closer to the portal. He stopped right in front of it and put his hand on my cheek as he placed a short sweet kiss in my lips. "I should get going," he said. He leaned closer and hugged me tight one last time, placing his head on my shoulder, "Please, be safe, Clary." He whispered in my ears.
"I will, Jace," I told him, "Take a good care of yourself there."
He leaned out and nodded before walking off to Alec, they shared a hug and Jace seemed to whisper something to him before he turned back to see me, "I'll call you when I arrived," he said, waving his hand with a big smile before jumping through the portal and disappeared.
"That was all for tonight," Magnus said as he closed the portal. He then turned to Alec with a cheeky grin on his face, "So Alec, any plan for tonight?"
Alec shook his head lightly, more toward Magnus words than to answer the question, a slight smile was on his lips.
Watching the reaction Alec gave to Magnus made a smile appear on my face, probably because I was thinking of how adorable they would be as a couple. That was if only they were, or at least one of them confirmed the situation.

There's nothing I actually did since I went inside the institute.
I was all alone, and Alec was nowhere to be found since this afternoon -not that I really searched for him.
Maybe he's with Magnus? Make sense.
It's 10 p.m.
I wondered if Alec was going to stay at Magnus' or would be back.
But I wondered what would I do with him anyway, I was just starting to be a real friend with him a couple weeks ago -but I didn't even know if he really wanted to be my friend or not. We could barely even talk!
