Hermione Vs. Ron

Dear Mum and Dad,
                            I am going to the Yule Ball with Scorp! He asked me and I said yes! I am going to Hogsmeade with Alice as well - she is going with Al.

I'm so excited.

Mum, what should I wear? Can I borrow your dress from your time?

Ron stood up, growling at the letter. He crumpled it up and chucked it on the floor.

"HERMIONE!" He bellowed.

"Yes, dear?" Hermione floated into the room.

"Did you have anything to do with the Yule Ball?" He asked.

"Well...yes...I encouraged the professor to go for it, but apart from that, no."

"So, Our daughter is going to said ball, with a certain MALFOY!"

"Ron, you have to let her go. She is living her own life."

"She is 14!"

"And she needs her space. She can take care of herself."

"But, they aren't even going out!"

"Yes, I know. It might not be a date, it could just be for friends. Friends, like you and I were. If you could take time back and do it again all again, would you ask me, even as a friend. Scorpius likes Rose, and he won't let that happen. He wouldn't like to see Rose go out with someone else, so he asked her before anyone else could. He doesn't want to see her get her heart broken." Hermione told Ron.

"If I turned back the clock, Hermione, I would have gone with you. But we can't, you see."

"And that's why Scorpius is doing it right with Rose."

"Fine. Fine. But I don't have to like it."

"No, you don't. Because she is your daughter. But you do have to tolerate Scorp, and make an effort. After all, he will be coming to the Burrow, this summer. Al has invited him, and the Potters are always at the Burrow."
