Both Severus in a painting and Severus in the afterlife would secretly watch out for Albus Severus and Lily Luna , because Lily II was Lily's namesake, and Albus was Severus' namesake and he reminded him of Lily. However, he wouldn't watch out for James Sirius because he had no connection to him.
