Chapter Eight - Little Ms. Smartass

Your POV
My eyes open and I run down the stairs and outside, "fuck fuck fuck!!!" I continued to run and to the classroom, "I'm sorry I'm late!!" I had overslept, "glad you could finally join us ms. (L/N)" Toga said with a slight grin on his face, I rubbed the back of my head and blushed, "awww! She's blushing!!" I glare at Hanabusa, "shut up Aido" i sigh, "i wouldn't have overslept if someone had woken me up!" they laugh at me, "oh shut it, i can't be the only one, can i?" i sat down by the window again, "well then, now that ms. sleepyhead has arrived me can continue with the lesson, today we will be learning a bit about American history" Aido raised his hand, "yes?" Toga said in his usual bored tone, "why are we learning about something that won't help us? if you've forgotten then we're vampires, not humans, shouldn't we learn about our history instead?" Toga let out a slight chuckle, looked over the class and asked, "anyone want to answer that question?" i thought for a while and then raised my hand, "(L/N)?" i took a deep breath before speaking, "yes, i think we have to learn about it so that in the future we can blend in" Toga nodded and i continued, "for example, if someone finds us suspicious, maybe the police or even the neighbor, they're sure to ask us many questions and we have to answer them right, of course, we don't have to unless we're gonna stay here in Japan forever, it would come in handy if we travel, so it is indeed important for us vampires to know about the human history" Kaname let out a slight chuckle, "please do correct me if I'm wrong" Toga grinned slightly, "looks like we have a ms. smartass in our class" i grin and reply, "indeed, it seems that i know something so i ain't just beauty" the guys chuckle while the girls glare at me, "alright, if it upsets you that much, after this class let's have a competition" Ruka raised an eyebrow, "what kind of competition?" i grinned, "a quiz" her eyes widen but then she grins, "alright, what's the topic?" my grin grew even wider, "that's up to the guys, they pick the questions and we answer" she lets out a tch and my grin grew even wider if that was even possible, "fine then, the quiz will be on Saturday at 2 AM, okay?" he nodded, "may i continue my lesson now? maybe you'll learn something that would be useful tomorrow" i laugh, "as if you care" he grinned a bit, "at least i don't pretend like i know everything" Aido laughed, "(Y/N) just got burned by the teacher!" i glare at Aido and if looks could kill, he's be more deeper than 6 feet under.. "again, at least i'm not stupid?" Toga sighed, "fine then, before class is dismissed, do not forget to get teachers to watch the competition between you girls and maybe a few more students" he grinned then continued, "just to make things interesting" i chuckle, "i'm sure we can take care of that, thank you for the advice"

It was 2'o clock, i was waiting for the other girls. I didn't understand why but Takuma for some odd reason got three more people to watch and cheer us on... those people are Yuki, zero and the headmaster, oh well. "well then, welcome to the quiz, shall we get started?" the host was Takuma because everyone else refused to be it, Kaname, Toga and the headmaster are the judges, the check if the answers are correct. the most unfair part is that I'm competing against Ruka and Rima, they were in a team together so it was two against one... oh well, "well then, first question, we're starting with american history" we nodded and Takuma continued, "Alexander Hamilton is an important part there, name three men that he worked with" i grinned, "you get 90 seconds to think, ready.... go!" i rang the bell that was placed in front of us, "yes, (Y/N)" my grin grew wider, "Hamilton worked with many people, the three i'm naming are John Laurens, Gilbert Du Mortier, Marquis de Lafayette, usually known as Lafayette and Hercules Mulligan" Takuma looked at the judges, "is that correct?" the judges nodded and Tuma continued, "alright, on to the next question, there are ten questions, one random, one from a random history, two from american history, four from vampire history and two random ones" we nodded, "right then, who shot Alexander Hamilton?" i rang the bell, "yes?" i cleared my throat, "the one who shot Hamilton was Aaron Burr, they used to be friends and used to work together but Burr was so jealous that he challenged Hamilton to a duel and ended up killing Hamilton" Ruka's jaw dropped, "how do you know that?" i chuckle, "we might've not learned about it here but i have a huge interest in history so i decided to learn that on my own, so basically, i may be young but my mind is older" Ruka let out a slight growl, "on to the next question!, in this one we will be going into greek history" we nodded in understanding, "well then, in the old days greek people used to believe in gods, name five of those gods" i rang the bell right after he finished his sentence, "there's the big three, Zeus god of lightning, Poseidon god of the ocean and Hades god of the underworld, now, for the goddesses there's Athena goddess of wisdom and war and then there's Artemis goddess of hunt, mostly. does that count?" Takuma looked at the judges and the nodded, "that's three points to (Y/N)" i sighed, "this really is pointless.... people want to read about action... not history... they already know that i am a genius but they want to see me n more action! i am sure of it!" Tacoma sighed, "stop breaking the fourth wall, if i remember correctly then you're the one who suggested this...." i chuckle, "that may be, but can't we just forget about this? i mean... we kinda made it boring..." Kaname, "i agree with (Y/N), although, i am rather curious of how you knew the answer to the last question" i chuckled, "that's simple, i payed attention in class when we were learning about the greek.... or i read it somewhere in a book... nah, i'm sure i heard it from a friend" Kaname chuckled, "alright then" i looked at Ruka and Rima, "well then, what do you say? should we call it a day and leave? we can settle this on something else..." Roma nodded but Ruka grinned, "sure, but.... we can settle this on a fashion contest!" i sigh, "not happening" then i walked away and to my dorm, jeez... what a waste of intelligence... fashion?! who does she think i am?! i guess i'll have to do that eventually....
