Chapter Thirty One - Dangerous Meeting

3rd Person POV
A man in a trench coat with a wine red scarf wrapped around his neck and holding onto his fedora, jumped from roof to roof during the night. No one heard him, he was silent like a ninja. The man finally stopped, he looked up at the moon, his eyes glowing Arctic blue. The man grinned as his gaze turned towards an academy, he squinted his eyes slightly to see the sign on a brick wall next to the front gate. The man read out loud, "cross academy" his voice was dry and deep, almost as if he hadn't had anything to drink for a few hundred years, "at last.. I have found you" the man jumped down from the roof he was standing on and started walking towards the academy. His footsteps echoed through the empty streets. The man smiled. His teeth were showing, they were yellow and sharp, one might compare his teeth to a tiger's. His coat flowed backwards as a strong gust of wind greeted him, his hat flew off revealing hair as blonde as sand and a scar on his left eyebrow. When he finally arrived by the front gates he opened them gently. The gates creaked and the man walked in, he closed the gates then continued to walk. The moon shone brightly on his pale skin. The man's smile turned into a grin, "I wonder where it is.." the man walked around as he stumbled upon the headmaster's office. He knocked three times on the door, each knock louder and rougher than the other. "Yes?" The headmaster answered in his hopeful tone. The man opened the doors and walked in, "Kaien Cross, we meet at last" the headmaster raises an eyebrow, "I'm sorry, do I know you?" The man chuckles, "you will... eventually, I just came to retrieve what's rightfully mine" the headmaster's expression turned serious, "oh yeah? And what might that be? End of term papers?" The man chuckled, "no no, not at all.. in fact, I'm looking for.. a powerful thing some might even say it's magical" the headmaster shakes his head, "I'm afraid I do not know what you're talking about, I know of no such thing. Magic does not exist" the man grinned once again, "oh but it does, and you know that very well.. don't you, Hunter?" The headmaster glared at him, "I want you to leave.. now!" His voice turned deep and serious as he said the last word, "oh? Kicking me out already? But I only just arrived! And we're having such a nice talk~" The headmaster stood up, "I've had just about enough of your crap! Get out now or I'll call the cops!" The man laughed. His laughter echoed through the room, "and what are they gonna do? Give me a ticket? Perhaps a warning? Or perhaps they'll put me in jail?" The man sighs, "I suppose I could give up silently.." the man smiled kindly this time, "but where's the fun in that?" The headmaster had drawn a gun and aimed it at the man's head, "this is your last warning.." the man's eyes widened, "oh my! Aiming a gun at a visitor's head! How rude!" A click was heard and the headmaster placed his finger on the trigger. The man sighed, "fine, I'll make a deal.. you put that gun away and I'll leave" the headmaster didn't seem convinced, "what's the catch?" He asked, "you're a smart man, Kaien.. the catch is the item I mentioned earlier, it's hidden deep in this school's dorm" headmaster's expression darkened and he put a slight pressure on the trigger, "what's the item?" The man smiled, "I'll tell you if you put the gun down.." the headmaster didn't move, instead he said, "the gun stays aimed at your head" the man sighed yet again, "this is why I hate dealing with humans.. they're so stubborn and extremely annoying" the man looked at the headmaster dead in the eye, his eyes glowing Arctic blue again, "the sooner you put the gun down the sooner I tell you the item and the sooner I get it the sooner I'm gone, it's a win-win for both of us" The headmaster hesitates but lowered his gun, "Fine, what's the item?" The man smiled, "that's what I'm talking about! The item is actually a person, one of your students to be exact!" The headmaster's eyes widen, "I am not handing over one of my students!" The man rolled his eyes, "of course you're not.. but she's not just any student! In fact, we're related!" The headmaster's expression remained dim, "poor her" the man smiled, "ha! You've got great sense of humor!" Headmaster draws his gun again, "so I'm told" the man's eyes widen, he was not expecting him to draw the gun so quick, "now now, settle down.. it's not like a mere gun will kill me" the headmaster's expression finally changed, he smiled. "No, you're right, but this one will. It's a special vampire slaying weapon, it was made for one purpose and one purpose only... to kill BlueBloods when needed" he grinned, "Care for a try?" The man took a step back, "you haven't heard the last of me! I will be back and I will get her! Just you wait!" Then he vanished into blue mist. "If he could teleport this whole time, why didn't he just do that in the first place?.. wouldn't that have been easier?" The headmaster smiled proudly, "but I'm glad I was able to fool him! Pfft, a gun that can slay BlueBloods? As if! The only thing they can do is slow them down!" The headmaster sat down with a worried expression, "but this worries me greatly.. because I think I know who he was talking about and if it really is her.. then she might just be in grave danger.."
The moon dorms
(Y/N) woke up and rubbed her eyes. She yawns and then smiles, "gooood morning! Ah, it felt so good to sleep in my own bed!!" She cheered and got out of bed, then she noticed the note she put away yesterday er.. I mean this morning, "oh great.. you again" she sighs as she picks up the note and reads it aloud, because why not? "Alright.. Dear (Y/N), how are you? I hope you're alright. You see, your health is very important to me because you are the queen to be. Now, you must be confused, Queen? How am I going to be a queen? The truth is, it's a term.. since you are destined to be the highest of the highest! Oh! And remember to stay the driest! We don't want you to flood. Now then! I believe I've sprouted enough nonsense, have fun decoding this! Until next time. - yours truly" she sighed, "oh great.. I better go show the headmaster, he might be able to help me..
