Chapter Sixteen - Realization

Your POV
I was waiting outside the dorm by the fountain for Shiki and Takuma, it was finally Sunday and we were going out.. I really need this, I've been studying so hard and I've barely been outside, I'm thankful that the guys are doing this for me, of course, at that time i didn't know what their intentions were.

"hey (Y/N)! been waiting long?" Takuma asked as he and Shiki walked over, I shook my head, "no, not at all" lies, i came 20 minutes earlier to sketch by the fountain. the guys were dressed in simple clothing, they looked really good. Takuma had a really simple outfit on, he was wearing casual blue jeans and a plain white button up shirt, he also wore plain black converse and a watch. On the other hand, Shiki was wearing black jeans with a short sleeved, lilac, button up shirt and a black vest, he also had sunglasses and a watch and his shoes were grey vans.

Takuma's POV

(Y/N) looked beautiful! It looked as if she were glowing! she was wearing blue skinny jeans that had holes on the knees, she wore a plain white T-shirt with black stripes and a pocket on the left side of the shirt, she also wore black converse,like the ones I'm wearing. She had little jewelry, she had a silver bracelet that was a rose wrapping around her wrist, she wore a silver rose necklace and had plain silver earrings that weren't in a specific shape. She had her Rey Ban sunglasses in her (H/C) hair which was styled up in a messy bun, "we ready to go?" Shiki and I nodded and then we started walking, "so... what are the plans?..." Shiki shrugged, "i didn't really have any..." (Y/N) chuckled, "alright, well if you guys don't mind then can we stop by the bookstore? there's a new book out in stores that hasn't come to the library yet..." Shiki smiled gently, "sure, lets go" and then we walked to the bookstore. When we arrived (Y/N) ran towards a certain bookshelf, on top of the shelf stood in black, bold letters, "sci-fi, teenage & romance novels"  (Y/N) reached for a book at the top shelf, i grinned and walked over to her. She wasn't able to reach the top shelf, "which book is it?" she sighed in defeat, the one with the two people and the purple cover" i nodded and stretched out my hand to grab the book, Shiki just sighed. I handed her the book and she smiled brightly, "finally! it was so worth the wait!" i raised an eyebrow and looked at the book, on the cover were indeed two people, a guy with red hair and a girl with light brown hair, "Blood & Roses?" i said outlaid, i read the title out loud by accident, "you know of the book?" i shook my head, "no, but I'm familiar with the author" her eyes widen, "you are?" then she smiled brightly, i chuckled, "yeah, of course" then Shiki walked over to us, "(Y/N), i can buy the book for you if you want" she shook her head, "that isn't necessary" Shiki didn't listen, he took the book and paid for it then he handed her the book, "then consider it a gift from me" she sighed in defeat, "alright, you win" she chuckled and blushed slightly, "thank you.." Shiki smiled gently, "you're welcome" i can't let him win! i need to think of something and quick! "shall we go buy ice cream?" her eyes brightened, "really??" her eyes were filled with excitement, i chuckled, "yeah, my treat!" she smiled, "yay! i know of a great place! you can get gelato, sorbet and almost any type you want!" "lead the way" i said as i made a hand gesture for her to lead the way, she nodded and started walking happily towards the ice cream shop, i think I've never seen her this happy... i didn't even know she could be this cheerful! We arrived at the ice cream shop, we hadn't even ordered yet and she was already drooling, i laughed, "alright, what do you want?" she looked at me then at the ice cream, "white chocolate... no! coconut! chocolate! strawberry! ugh! i don't know!" i chuckled then Shiki put a hand on her shoulder and pointed at an ice cream flavor, "i recommend this one, the (F/ICF), that flavor is the best" she thought for a moment then nodded, then that is what i shall get!" i nodded and ordered a vanilla for me and the flavor that she wanted, Shiki got a chocolate, (Y/N) ate her ice cream happily, "you're right! this one is the best!" Shiki smiles gently, "I'm glad you like it" hmm.. now that i think about it, its like they have a connection.. like they've had a moment together, i wonder, am I perhaps the only guy in our class that hasn't made a move on her?, "what should we do now?..." (Y/N) thought for a while before she said, "we could go to the movies? I've heard that there's a really good movie in theaters!" both Shiki and I look down, "but um... (Y/N).. " Shiki started, I sighed as i decided i should be the bad guy, "the theatre is closed, (Y/N), because its the night, we are vampires, remember? you're one of the few that are able to go out in the sunlight and be there for a long time..." her eyes widen, "oh my lord! I'm so sorry! i... I hadn't thought about that... then.. i have an idea!" Shiki and i both raise an eyebrow, "which is?..." she smiles, takes our hands and starts walking, "follow me!" we walked for a long time and then finally we came to a stop, we were at a grassy hill, "well?" i asked, she smiled and spread her hands out and let herself fall backwards then she gently placed them under her head. Shiki and I followed her example and laid down next to her, "what are we supposed to see?" i asked, she smiled gently as she answered, "beauty" Shiki chuckled, " we don't have to look at the starry sky to see beauty, we just have to look at you" her smile faded and her expression saddened a bit, "i guess.. but.. i don't want you guys to have feelings for me, i love you guys but as friends.. i appreciate what you've done but.." i nodded, "I know, and I've known from the start" she sat up quickly, "what?" i sat up as well, "yeah, I've always known how you felt, that is why i tried to hold myself back" her eyes widen, "so all this time.. you've had feelings for me?" i nodded, "from the very beginning" she looked at Shiki who was sitting up, "you too?" ne nodded, "all of us, (Y/N), we have always felt like that, I'm sorry.." she sighed and hugged us, "I'm sorry for never noticing, I'm sorry if i ever caused you pain for that..." she let us go and continued, "can we start over?.. as friends this time, i really want to just be friends with you.." i smiled, "of course" and Shiki nodded, "we would love to" she smiled and laid down on the grass again, "then lets watch the stars of a bit and then we can leave" we laughed and stayed there for a moment, it was nice.. I'm glad i told her, now i can finally move on, i know i should've moved on sooner but i just couldn't... and I'm sure Shiki feels the same way.
