Chapter Nine - Hopeless

Your POV

i was walking downtown, i had to run an errand for the headmaster, not alone of course, Zero had tagged along because he insisted on doing so.... oh well, "why'd you come along?" he looks at me an replies, "because i don't want you to be alone" i sigh and ask, "why not?" he replies, "after we lost you last time i'm not risking that again..." i chuckle, "alright then, if you say so.." we walked for a while until we arrived, we entered the shop we were supposed to go to, we were, well... i was supposed to buy some supplies for the art club, why me? i've got no freaking idea.. haha, it's not like i  have a talent in drawing... nope i really don't, "why were you supposed to do it?" i let out a chuckle, "i have no idea.." Zero thought for a while then asked again, "i've never seen you draw..... do you draw well?" i laugh, "no, not really..." he gives me a doubtful look, "you sure about that? i mean you can't be that bad..." i grin slightly, "i'm as bad at drawing as Yuki in math" his eyes widen, "wow... you must be very bad..." i nodded, "can i see some of your drawings one day?" i took a deep breath before answering, "sure but.... they're like a 13 year old drew them... " he chuckles, "i don't care" i shrug, "okay then" he smiles, "can't wait" we laugh and then return back to the school.

"welcome back (Y(N)!" Hanabusa yelled while he ran down the stairs to hug me, i stepped aside so he fell on his face outside, "thanks, i will be in my room if anyone needs me"  Hanabusa raised an eyebrow, "why? did something happen?" i shook my head, "i just want to be alone for a moment..." Hanabusa watched me from behind while i walked up theaters and to my room with a worried expression on his face.

Hanabusa's POV

I wonder what's up with (Y/N)... she doesn't usually act like this... why won't she tell me what's wrong?... i sighed, "i guess she doesn't fully trust me yet..." "who?" Akatsuki asked as he walked up to me, i sighed as i replied, "(Y/N)" he chuckled, "of course she doesn't" i punched him in his side, "what's that supposed to mean?!" Akastuki sighed, "she may act like she enjoys it here but she doesn't, she gets nightmares and she's afraid to be taken again, i don't know what she's been through but i know that it's tough...." i raised an eyebrow, "how do you know..." he started walking away, "let's just say that i might've tried to get closer to her" my eyes widen, "you mean... you too?!" he waved his hand, "yup, and i am not giving up! i won't surrender until the whole town's been burned down" it can't be! i won't let him do that!he can't! "well, i won't stop until all lakes and rivers have been frozen!" Akatsuki grinned slightly, "too bad you can't freeze the ocean" my eyes widen, "you didn't!" he nodded and then walked away, "that bastard!" i ran to my room, "i have to do something and quick!" i sat down at my desk and started writing, "i bet Zero is done doing something like that too! that would explain why she's acting like that..... i just sure hope he didn't.. it's easier to handle anything else but that..." i wrote down names and drew lines, "the only question is... who's on her mind?.... if i think about how everyone acts..," i drew a line between Yuki's name and Kaname's name, "it's obvious she likes him.... and he likes her..." i drew a line between Kaname's name and (Y/N)'s name. i continued to draw all kinds of line in different colors, "the only one who i can't figure out is who she likes!" i looked at the paper i had been working on... "this is more than a love tirangle or a love square..... its a love circle.. it's one sided...." i sigh, turn it upside down and walk outside, "i could always ask her in person... but i fi do it would sound so creepy... i'll just go ask Kname, he always has answers to everything!" i walk up to Kaname's door and knock gently, "it's Hanabusa, can i come in?..." Kaname opened the door and i walked din, "what's wrong Aido?" i looked down then back at him (and they kiss! sorry..) and sighed, "who do you think (Y/N) likes?" he let out a chuckle, "i think that she does't have feelings for everyone and that she is kinda hoping to avoid it at all costs" i raise an eyebrow, "but why would she want to do that?" we sit down in his couch thingy, "well, considering that every time she gets into a relationship she causes trouble for her lover, and when she crosses the line something even worse happens" i thought for a while, he aint lying... "and it's either that or her boyfriend brakes up with her for a ridiculous reason" " you're right... thank you, that is all for now" i bowed and left, i forgot about that... those things that Kaname said are indeed true but... i'm bot giving up! no matter what! i won't stop until the ocean is completely frozen!" someone tapped my shoulder lightly, i turned around to see (Y/N), "oh hey, (Y/N)!" he chuckles, "hey Hanabusa, you know... i hate to break it to ya but.... you can't freeze the ocean.." i raise an eyebrow, "why not?" she let's out a chuckle, "it's really simple, it's because off all go the salt, I don't e.g. thaw you didn't realize that already" she smiles and continues, "you must be very stupid" she smiled, thankfully!, "am not!" she laughs, "sure you aren't" then she walked away, "but you're not sal- don't take it seriously Hanabusa, you were only using it as a metaphor.... " i though for a while, "wait... if i can't freeze the ocean.... i don't stand a chance for (Y/N)!!" i sigh, "that's what Akatsuki meant..." i sigh, "chasing her is clearly hopeless..... Akatsuki is right, i mean, i'm competing with Kaname and Zero!"
