Chapter Twenty-Nine - The City Of Love

Your POV
I finally arrived in France, Paris.. the city of love. I let out a sigh, "just when I got a time off from love drama.. I arrive in the city of love!" I sigh again. I walk outside of the airport and see a familiar face, "Jacques? Is that you?" A man with dark, curly hair and bright blue eyes turned his head to face me, "I know zat beautiful voice anywhere!" He said in his French accent, "(Y/N)! Long time no zee! How've you been?" I chuckle, "I've been alright.. lots of boy drama but alright" he smiles, "well zat's wonderful!" He smiles at me, the gap between his two front teeth showing. "I see you still haven't gotten that fixed" he grins, "now why would I? I believe it makes me more handsome! The girls dig it!" He winks and I laugh, "but how have you been and what have you been up to?" He lets out a nervous laugh, "you know... this and that" I raise an eyebrow, "are you still in trouble? I told you that you should've le-" he cuts me off, "nononono! Not at all!! I have been... well, I kind of fell for zhis girl... and she uh... doesn't really like me back" I sigh, "well... love doesn't always turn out the way you want to.." he laughs, "indeed.. and I believe you have it worse than me.. anywho, what are you doing here in France? Paris of all places!" I sigh, "long story.." he shrugs, "I understand... you don't want to tell your meillur ami.." I shake my head, "that's not it at all! Of course I would tell my best friend! But... I'm serious, it really is complicated..." he sighs, "vampire stuff?" I nod, "zhought so.. come on, follow me" I raise an eyebrow and follow as Jacques starts walking, "where to?" No answer, "yeesh, you and Zero are so alike when it comes to this!" He chuckles, "from what you've told me... he's probably worse, how are zhings between you and him anyway?" I sigh yet again, "we were dating for a while.. got engaged and then we broke up..." "c'est horrible!" He said and I look down, "yeah.. no kidding.." he sighs, "and I shipped you two so much.. do you still have feelings for him?.." I blush but nod slowly, "a bit.. but, I'm not sure he still has them for me.." he shakes his head, "absurdité!" I raise an eyebrow, "how is that nonsense?" He chuckles, "if a man was willing to marry you, zen I'm sure he still has feelings for you" I stop and look at him in awe, "you know.. for the first time in a while, you maybe right..." he chuckles, "I'm always right, except for when I'm not" I grin, "and what about this girl? Have you told her about your feelings?" He nods, "oui, I have.." my grin fades, "and she rejected you?..." he sighs and looks down, "not quite.. she uh.. ran away while blushing madly and I zhink squealing?" I chuckle, "that is what us girls call fangirling, it's very common" he raises an eyebrow, "and zhat is?..." I sigh, "I'll explain it on the way to.. wherever we are going" we start walking and I explain to him briefly what fangirling is, "ohhhhhh, zat explains a lot!" I chuckle, "yeah" suddenly we stop in front of a gigantic mansion, "remember zhis place?" I nod slowly, "not exactly but a bit.. it's very familiar" he smiles gently, "no wonder, zhis is where my grandpa lives" then it hit me, "Julian?!" He nods, "yep, and he's gonna give you a lift back home" I smile, "thank you, Jacques" he smiles, "da rien" I smile and just as he finished his sentence an old man dressed in black with piercing blue eyes appeared, he smiled wryly, "well well well, If it ain't Monsieur Jacques and (Y/N)! What brings you here?" Jacques smiled gently, "hey gramps, (Y/N) here needs a lift home, she's... had it rough" Julian looks at me with a worried expression, "how so?" I sigh, "vampire stuff.." he sighs and his expression changed to a stern one, "I told zhem it would be dangerous to activate your vampire abilities, you should be human instead" I shake my head, "the vampires need me to keep order, that's what my father did before me, grandpa before him and so on.. I have to do this, Julian, if not.. who knows what might happen? Will they go for pure bloods since the BlueBloods went missing? Im not sure I am willing to do that.." Julian nods, "I understand" I smile weakly at him, "so.. could you give me a lift home?.." he chuckles, "you're in France, and want to get to Japan?.. yikes, you're lucky I have things to do there, we can take my private jet" I smile brightly at him, "thank you, Julian! That really means a lot!" He chuckles, "of course, after what you did to help us a few years back.. we owe you our lives, we'll do anything to help you" I roll my eyes, "I just got rid of some bad guys, it wasn't much.." Julius scoffed, "as if! It meant a lot to us! Plus, zhere were like twenty bad guys! You did great! Now, stop worrying about zhat and let's go! Let's get you home as fast as we can!" Jacques grinned, "you have zhings to settle~ with Zerooo~" I blushed slightly, "shut up Jacques" he laughed, "hope to see you soon, (Y/N). Au revoir et bonne chance!" I smile, "thanks! You too!" And then Julius and I walk to the mansion and then take his car to the airport.
Kaname's POV
We arrived back in Japan since we didn't find (Y/N) anywhere... We couldn't afford losing more time, I really hope she's okay., I mean, we don't know who took her or anything like that, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.. please be okay (Y/N).
