Chapter Eighteen - She Is Back

3rd POV
As (Y/N) walked down the halls towards the classroom something moved in the shadows, watching her every step. "I hope I pass this test... I really need to! No! I know I will pass this test! I am the great (Y/N), the one that knew the answer to every question that was thrown at me!" She said with confidence, "now that I think about it.... I've changed so much.. I used to be so badass, I even worked for the vampire hunters association... why did I stop? What happened? Was it the romance drama? The kidnapping? Probably..." she sighed, "I wish I could go back to then... maybe I should start doing tha-" she stopped in her tracks as she heard a twig snap, she closed her eyes and concentrated. She heard footsteps coming closer and closer, she heard laughter becoming louder and louder and even with closed eyes she could see a grin becoming wider and wider. "So we meet again, little (Y/N)" the voice was deep and yet calming in a way. The worst part was that the voice was familiar to her. "How long has it been? A month?" She opened her eyes and recognized the person instantly. "I'll never forget those red glowing eyes and sharp yellow teeth... yuck" the voice laughed making an echo through the halls, "I wouldn't be surprised. I for one thing enjoyed your stay with us" (Y/N) rolled her eyes, "yeah... and I totally did as well...." the voice laughed once again, "you haven't changed one bit" "who died and made you inspector?" She squinted her eyes to try to see him but with no luck, she could only see his silhouette and not a clear one. He was tall and skinny, he didn't seem to have any muscles but she knew better. "Power before strength, eh?" She asked with curiosity. The voice laughed again, "yes, indeed, something you will learn. We don't need to have contact with people, we don't need to fight. We are the rulers, the highest of them all and Purebloods, are our puppets" (Y/N) let out a growl, "so you're the one who's been toying with me? Making my friends so weird?" She squinted her eyes again and saw his silhouette nodding. "I have to go, I have a test to go to" "ah, but I can't just let you go" (Y/N) let out another sigh, "then how about we meet up after the test? That way we can continue whatever it is you wanted to do, or I can simply kick your ass right here right now, how does that sound?" "Heh, cocky as always, fine, you better come to the woods after the test or else your life won't be so easy anymore" (Y/N) was the one who laughed this time, "has my life ever been easy? But okay, I'll be there" and with that being said the silhouette disappeared and (Y/N) continued to walk to her class room, "phew, 5 minutes earlier"

After (Y/N) finished her test she walked outside and stretched, "I can't believe I have to meet this guy... I don't even know who he is or what he wants... all I know is that I have to kick his ass and get some info out of him!" She walked to her dorm room, went inside and locked the door. "Alright, time to gear up!" (Y/N) changed her clothes, she went into black jeans and a plain black shirt with a pocket on the left side of the chest, she also went into black combat boots. Then she went on her knees and under her bed, took out a suitcase and opened it. Inside were weapons but not just any weapons, Vampire slaying weapons, "(Y/N) (L/N) is back!" She walked out of her room and down the stairs when she met someone she really didn't want to run into, "oh um... hi..." she said awkwardly. Kaname had been downstairs as well and she just ran into him, "where are you going?" He asked in his usual calm voice, "I uh.. just... ya know.... yeah" he raised an eyebrow obviously suspicious of her, "you usually answer honestly, what are you hiding?" His voice may have sounded bored but (Y/N) could clearly see it in his eyes that he was curious, "fine, I'm doing myself a favor" she said in defeat, "which is?.." he said with obvious curiosity in his voice, "remember when I got kidnapped? Yeah, one of the people that was working there is here and I'm going to kill that person, which is why I'm weaponed and dressed up like this" Kaname nodded, "alright" (Y/N) grinned, "oh, and you can tell the others to watch out, cuz I am back in business!" Kaname smiled faintly, "oh? And what about your boyfriend?" (Y/N)'s grin widened, "my personality and attitude had a huge part in his crush on me" Kaname stared at her for a moment then smiled again, "welcome back" (Y/N) smiled proudly, "good to be back!" And then she continued to walk outside. When she arrived at the woods she called out, "I'm here! Come out! You weird old man!" Just as she finished her shout the silhouette appeared, "mind showing your solid form? just like you i have plans myself ya'know" the voice laughed, "alright.. but i don't get why you call me old.." the silhouette came closer to her and started fading away starting at the feet, there were black combat boots, badly tied.. as it faded more (Y/N) saw his black jeans and a glimpse of what reminded her of a trench coat. Once faded more all the way up to his waist she saw the bottom of a plain white shirt, she had been correct about the trench coat. It faded even more, this time all the way up to his neck where a plaid scarf was wrapped around, 'the guy may be evil but he sure has a good clothing style' (Y/N) thought to herself. It was finally fully faded, revealing his face. The man had slick back, dark brown hair. His hair reminded her of the dark shadow between the cracks in the bark trees around them. his eyes were glowing red like a freshly picked apple. "well? are you satisfied now?" (Y/N)'s mouth was wide open, "I thought you were an old man!" the voice chuckled, "i don't get how" "cuz your voice is so deep! how old are you anyway?..." the voice laughed again, "i am 18" her eyes widen, "WHAT! 18! as in... you've lived 18 years?!" he man nodded, "alright... then uh.. whats your name?" "Jace" she laughed, "Jace? and what, are your brothers Jack and Ace?" his eyes widen, "yeah! how'd you know?" she laughed, "lucky guess? Anyway, shall we get down to business?" Jace grins as he takes out two daggers, one in each hand, "they said i had to bring you back alive, they never said i couldn't hurt you" i took out my vampire slaying daggers, "bring it on, Jace" she went into a battle stance, he attempted to stab her from high up, she tried to block but he was too quick, he bent is elbow and stabbed her in her right side. thankfully she was able to back away before the cut was deeper but it was big, she would have at least 10 minutes before she would pass out and it will take the wound about 11 minutes to heal.. "damn, I'm out of practice! i should starts training again after this" she thought about his move for a bit, 'he was using the reverse grip..' and somehow the gears in her head started clicking, she was back, (Y/N) (L/N) is back in business! "you'll need a hell lot more of that to take me down!" she started attacking. They went on like that for good five minutes, he couldn't seem to land a hit on her but she was doing extremely well. She was about to attack again when he suddenly blocks with his right hand and uses his left hand so stab her in the back and slides it across her back. She screamed out in pain, "well played, wouldn't have used that method if i were you though" 'damn, adding that wound which is probably bigger and deeper... i have about three minutes left' the wound didn't stop her she kept on going. "I swear I will take you down" and with that being said she ran into hiding, she looked at the wound in her side 'damn, its so big and bleeding too much.. two minutes and i might loose this fight' she cut and tore off pieces from her jeans and tied around her wound in her side then she did the same with her back but she tied it around her chest. She put her daggers back and took out a gun. "come out come out, wherever you are...." Jace said in a playful tone, "you won't be able to hide for long..." she closed her eyes and concentrated, she listened carefully. She heard his footsteps about a meter away, "i need to do something to get him closer..." she whispered then she stood up quickly, "hey! idiot! I'm over here!" she screamed as she waved her hands then when he saw her she quickly hid in the bushes. He came closer and closer, she closed her eyes concentrating, he was so close that she could smell him, she quickly got out of the bushes, turned and aimed. Before she shot she grinned and said, "I thought it was power before strength... guess there's a third option which is what you chose" he raised an eyebrow in curiosity, "stupidity" she grinned devilishly as she shot him three times then once again to be sure. "heh, training with Zero in gun shooting finally paid off, huh" while running she had hurt her ankle so she staggered back to the dorms, "thirty seconds.." she said as she passed out.

So here it is! Chapter 18! Finally, am i right? lol, anyway. So i wanted to explain something. Somewhere in the story i said, "the gears clicked in her head" and suddenly she instantly knew what to do, could heard really well and even smell someone's presence. I don't know if it was obvious but those were her powers activating, that is also what she meant by "thirty minutes to spare" had she used her power for thirty more seconds it would have affected her a lot,  taken over her kind of. Well, i can't explain anymore cuz if I do, i might spoil.. haha, anyway, i hope you enjoyed this chapter! I made it extra long to make up for the time that i didn't update... which is probably a hundred years. Also, my school is starting soon so i might start my usual schedule then, update once a week.
