Chapter Twenty-Three - The Notes

Your POV
When the teacher dismissed us I hurried out of the classroom, Hanabusa called after me but I just ignored it. During class I'd gotten bored, like most people, so my attention wandered to the window and I saw something that caught my attention. Something was shining in the woods, it was faint since I only saw it through the leaves and a small part of it but still.. I felt like I should check it out, and so I hurried to my dorm room, put my stuff away and grabbed some weapons, then I ran out to the woods. Stopped in front of the shiny thing, it was a silver box and in black letters was my name, I picked it up and opened it, inside was a necklace, but not just any necklace... it was the necklace that I used to wear, the one with the sword, heart and all that... why is it here? "I thought it disappeared after I used its power... what is it doing here?" I picked up the necklace to see a note under it, I sat down on a nearby rock, put down the box and necklace and read the note out loud, "Baby, don't you find it just a little bit peculiar, however close we get, we're never too familiar... what does that mean?" I thought for a bit and then it clicked! "It's a song lyric! Does that mean it's a treasure hunt?.. if so... the music room! Or.." I took the box and necklace along with the note and ran towards where the talent competition had once been held, luckily enough, there was another silver box with my name on it, I hurried towards it and opened it, inside was... "oh.. great.. another note, yay.." I picked up the note to see a picture under it.. "Ketsueki?.. but why?" I read the note out loud again, "dark, green, brown, yellow... all relate to the same big place.." I thought for a bit once again and then it hit me, "the woods!" I ran off to the woods. This happens two more times, in the Woods was a picture of Akane who I called my dad because of the necklace.. After that I went to the library, in that box was a picture of Katsurou, it continues like this.. pictures of all the men that caused all of the drama in my life, yikes. The last one was different though.. the box was blood red with a black ribbon and my name written in black, "interesting..." I opened it to see another picture.. I didn't recognize the man in the picture though, the man has apple green eyes and tomato red hair.. he actually reminds me of a strawberry.. And in big letters was written, "Ichigo" I sighed, "please tell me that this isn't going to turn into a drama again.." then I heard a man's laughter, great.. "oh, (Y/N), so young and innocent.. I do believe you've seen me.. I the picture at least" I gritted my teeth, "who are you?" The man chuckled, "my name is Ichigo" I burst into laughter, "talks about irony! I just thought about how much you remind me of a strawberry and your name means strawberry in Japanese!" The man rolls his eyes, "yeah yeah, whatever, at least I'm not a butch* who plays with the emotions of her friends" I glared at him, "wasn't my choice, guess I'm just that charming" "charmingly annoying? Indeed..." I sigh, "what do you want?" Ichigo chuckles, "well.. only to fork* up your life of course!" I raise an eyebrow, "how so? Thought my life was already forked* up?" The man laughs, "oh no sweetheart, that was just the beginning... in about 10 days from now, on your 18th birthday,  your so called boyfriend will break up with you!" I grin, "oh yeah? As if! Aido's been head over heels for me from the very beginning, he wouldn't break up with me out of the blue like that!" Ichigo shrugged, "it's up to you, lovely" I grit my teeth, "oh yeah?" He nods, "since you don't believe me... let's make a bet!" "In listening..." he grins, "if he breaks up with you in ten days, you let me create chaos and drama in your life but... if he doesn't break up with you, then you uh..." this time I'm the one that's grinning, "if I win the bet.. you'll leave me completely alone and stay out of my life & business, deal?" I stretched out my hand for him to shake it, which he did, "deal" and then he disappeared. I walked back tithe dorms and when I arrived everyone looked panicked, Hanabusa was the first one to run up to me and hug me, "where have you been?! I've been so worried about you! I thought you had been kidnapped again!" I smile gently, "don't worry about me, you know I always return in the end no matter what!" For a brief moment I saw a hint if disappointment and sadness in his eyes, "you're right, but still... I was scared!" I hug him, "I'm here now... that's all that matters.." and soon enough the others joined in. After the heartfelt reunion I walk to my dorm room. I take my uniform off and put on pajamas, I take my hairstyle out of my hair and take off my jewelries. I take a good look at myself in the mirror, "I don't get what the guys see in me... I'm just.. so plain" then out of nowhere the man, Ichigo, appeared, "yup, you're about as plain as an airplane" I roll my eyes, "ah-haha, very funny.. anyway, I don't want to play games with you.. what's your job!" He thinks for a while, "I'm an engine driver!" I sigh once again, "and what do you drive?" He flashed me a toothy grin, "the train that leads towards your destruction" I muster a fake smile, "as humorous as ever I see..." he yawns, "well I'm bored so I'm out..." and disappears. But what if he's right?... what if Hanabusa truly will break up with me? How would he do that? And why?...
