Chapter 44 - promise

We headed out at 5 am. Kian drove until 8 am, until Jc took over driving the rest of the way. I slept mostly the whole time, other than sleeping we would just play good music and jam out to it.

I was so nervous to meet his parents, I tried to look half decent since I was meeting them for the first time. I was wearing leggings and a v-neck light pink short sleeve shirt, my hair was straight for the most part and I had only foundation and mascara on.

I sat in the front seat with Jc while Kian slept in the back. It was now 10 something am, only one hour left to go. Kians mom's house has 5 rooms, one for his mom, and 4 others that used to be kian and his siblings rooms which are now guest rooms. Kian and I are going to share one that's upstairs, while Jc is going to sleep in the one right next to ours. And kian's sister izzi is going to sleep in the guest room that's downstairs next to their mom.

Jc and I were jamming to some 1975 and drinking smoothies.

"So you still nervous?" Jc asked
"Yes, but not as much as I was" I said

"You shouldn't be nervous, everyone that meets you likes you Kodie. You're just the type of person everyone likes" he said causing me to blush.
"Yeah even you have liked me once" I said laughing causing him to laugh as well

"Yeah I did. I had a crush on you, but as soon as I found out you and Kian liked eachother I immediately tried to stop liking you. I know him,I wasn't gonna get in the way of that. Of course, meeting Andrea helped me move on way faster, and I'm glad I did. I really like her." He said

"You think you're gonna be official soon?"
"Yeah I wanna ask her I just don't know when the perfect time would be. I want it to be perfect."

" no matter what you do it'll be perfect, you're a great guy to date. You're cute, you're funny, adventurous, easy to talk to, you're the full package. If I hadn't of fallen for that guy so fast I would've wanted you. So, no matter what you do, it's gonna be perfect for her. She deserves a guy like you." I said
"Thanks Kodie, I really appreciate it. You're the full package too" he laughed.

We laughed and talked about silly things for about only 20 minutes until we arrived to a beautiful lightly-colored brick house. It was fairly big. Seemed like we both grew up in big houses. We parked Kians Range Rover across the street against the curb. Jc turned off the car and unbuckled. He turned around and shook Kian until he woke up. "We're here bud" Jc said to Kian. He sat up quickly and didn't seem like he had been actually sleeping but I just shook it off. We all walked to the trunk of the car. Kian opened the trunk and got his suitcase out. I turned to him, about to hug him "hey baby, sleep good-" as I was about to wrap my arms around him he started walking to the front door.

I looked at Jc who looked as confused as I was. "What did I do wrong?" I said. He shrugged and grabbed my suitcase out of the car before grabbing his own. I closed the trunk and he began pulling my suitcase to the front door. We stood at the door waiting for Kian's mom to open it. Inside I heard a "coming" which sounded like it came from a woman. "Thanks for grabbing my bag Jc, at least one of you is being a gentlemen" I said jokingly.

Before another word could be spoken, the door was swung open. A short woman with medium length browned hair, knee high khaki shorts and a casual light blue shirt opened the door. She had the biggest smile on her face and she hugged Kian like there was no tomorrow. Obviously she was kian's mom, she was adorable. They hugged for quite a while, until a golden lab almost as big as me ran up to Kian. Kian had told me all about hazel. She was kian's dog but had been staying with his mom for awhile. I don't know if she's coming back with us or not but either way is fine with me, I love dogs. "Hazeyyyyy" he said as he bent down to engulf the dog in a big hug, the dog licking his face all over.
