"Josh, stop cheating!" I screamed.

"I'm not!" he said defensively.

"You make it so obvious. I knew I shouldn't have let you be the banker," I grumbled.

Josh makes it so obvious he's cheating in monopoly. If you can't tell I'm a sore loser. I like winning not losing.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because a second ago you were going bankrupt and now you got millions to buy everything you land on."

"Not millions babe."

"I give up."

"Looks like I'm the winnnnnnnerrr!" he teased.

"By forfeit. So technically you didn't win."

"So the bet."

"What bet?" I asked pretending to be confused but I wasn't. I knew exactly what he was talking about. I shouldn't have given up.

"You know. The one where you go skinny dipping," he smirked deviously.

Now don't blame me, I didn't know I was going to lose. I shouldn't have made the stupid bet. I usually always win.

"Do I have to?!"

"Yup."

"Would a kiss make up for it?" Sometimes you just gotta exchange it for something else.

"Nope," he laughed, "but I'll take one as an addition."

"Josh, I don't want toooo."

Josh spaced out for a moment, he must of been thinking. "Answer one question for me."

Anything could be better then skinny dipping.

Except him asking me to marry... which I highly ever doubt he would do.

"Depends what it is..."

"You know earlier at dinner, your parents said something about your brother... You told me you were an only child."

"And?" Why does this even matter?

"I don't know... Why didn't tell me about him?" He stared at me puzzled. I laid on my back on the floor of Josh's room, staring up at the ceiling.

"It doesn't really matter," I sighed.

"Where is he now?" Josh said in such a low hush tone that it was barely audible.

"He's in the military. He kinda left unexpectedly. No one knew he just left note on the kitchen table and left." I held back the tears that I wanted to come out. I've never spoken about it to anyone... I never told anyone. I was planning on never having to. But I feel like I can tell Josh these things and he would actually care, instead of pretending like he does.

"Have you tried speaking to him?"

"Yeah... I sent him a few emails but he never responded."

It was more then a few. I e-mailed him for 6 months until I finally gave up. It was no use, I don't even know why I bothered. I always wonder where he is... He may not even be alive for all I know...

"How long has it been?"

"Like a year and a half..."

"You never know what could happen... maybe one day he'll just come back out of no where."

Josh is sometimes too positive and that just gives me false hope.

My brother is never coming back.
