‘I had fallen into a deep state of depression, I had cut myself off from everyone in the castle.. My happiness and freedom were with Gaston back in the village, I felt less like myself when I was forced to come back.. He was gone, and our blossoming romance had withered like a dying rose.. I took the enchanted mirror from my dresser drawer and used it to see Gaston, although it wasn’t quite the same..’
“Princess Joëlle.. your parents say that you should join them in the dining room.” Cogsworth said
“I’m sorry, Cogsworth, but I won’t be joining them for dinner tonight.” I said
‘I had opened the window, pulling a chair out to the balcony, I looked down at the rose shaped diamond ring Gaston had given to me moments before we parted.. it was all I had left of him..’
“Joëlle..” Gaston’s voice whipped through the wind, I turn around looking toward the mirror and only my reflection was there
“There’s no one here, Joëlle. Gaston’s back in the village.. along with your freedom and happiness. I know that I probably shouldn’t be doing this, but.. Show me Gaston.” I said, taking the enchanted mirror in my hands
“Where is she, Cogsworth?” Adam asked
“The Princess sends her apologies, but she won’t be joining us tonight.” Cogsworth said
“She’s not still upset about Gaston, is she?” Adam asked
“She has been neglecting her duties as future Queen of this kingdom.” Cogsworth said
“Gaston, I would do anything to see you again. I miss you so much.” I said
“Joëlle..” Gaston called
“Gaston..? No, it couldn’t be.. He’s back at the village.” I said
“Joëlle.. It’s me.” Gaston said
‘I had rushed from my bedroom to my parents rose garden, seeing Gaston hidden by the rose bushes, I had stopped.. almost breathless at the sight of seeing him again. It felt like a dream.. it seemed almost too good to be true..’
“Gaston, I can’t believe that you’re here.. I’ve missed you so much. How did you get here?” I asked
“As soon as I saw you pull away from the Tavern, I knew I had to come for you.” Gaston said
“I’m glad you came back for me. I would do anything to be back at your Tavern right now. Just go back and live out my days in the village with you and leave this life behind me. I guess it wouldn’t really make sense how we fell in love, but I’m nothing without you.” I said
“Nothing would make me happier than being married to you, Joëlle. Whether I’m a prince or not.” Gaston said
“Then why don’t we just run.. just the two of us, living a life away from this.” I said
“Let’s go.” Gaston said
“My father should be going toward my room any minute..” I said
‘Gaston placed his hand on my shoulder, leaning forward to kiss me, even it had started raining.. we had run back to the village, heading towards the Tavern.. no one had noticed that I was gone. I was reunited with the man I loved and all felt right or so I thought..’
