Kaira's POV:

Early morning sun rays and the birds chirping outside made me groan in frustration.

AHH!! I just don't want that damn sun on my face. And birds, please could you stop all that chirping?

I understand you must be really happy about the new day but would you please control a bit and let me also be happy!?

I smile as god hears my prayers and someone closes the curtains. I open my eyes slightly to see who the angel is.

With slightly parted eyelids I see Sidharth's 'bright as sunlight' smile greeting me, standing near the window he holds the curtains close.

Reflecting the smile I close my eyes getting comfortable on my pillow.

"Get up sleepy head! It's 9:30 already, don't you have to go for practice?" a voice speaks up irritatingly, followed by the burning sun rays and I groaned turning to the other side simultaneously throwing a pillow back over to the window where my brother ducks it easily.

Laughing he closes the curtains and I hear his heavy footsteps approaching the bed.

With a pat on my head, he whispers "Come on cheeky, you can't be sleeping on like this after a few months, get in practice from now on."

Another groan left me as I rub my eyes, sitting up to glare at my brother "And you need to stop giving me emotional speeches like that, I slept late at night that's all."

"So? You cannot give that excuse, you don't want to tell everyone why you woke up late, why you slept late, why your husband doesn't let you sleep on time—" he continues with a smirk and ducks another pillow thrown at him.

"God! You and milkshake are so annoyingly embarrassing!" I grumble.

He gifts me a wicked smile before he is out of my room, the door locked behind him. Having no other choice I throw off my blanket and march in my bathroom.

Half an hour later I was greeted by my dear mother at the dining table. Sending a silent prayer to give me tolerance I sit on my chair, quickly piling up breakfast on my plate.

"What is the time, Kaira?" Came a cool voice from my left.

"10" I noted casually.

A sigh reached my ears before the lecture "This is not the way a married girl acts Kaira. You get up earlier than everyone in the house—"

"I'm not married yet mum." I interrupted with the obvious fact she overlooked "So let me enjoy the last few months of being single."

"This is what I'm talking about. Don't back answer anyone in your new home, get it? Don't ever interrupt them and most of all don't talk in that sarcastic tone of yours. Behave yourself or people will think we taught you all those things you picked up." She taunts as I start feeding myself.

Oh like you didn't make me speak like that to you.

"Don't say things like my life, my career, my dreams, aspirations, expectations, nothing is yours except your family." She continued.
