Chapter - 36: Is it even worth?

Kaira's POV:

Part 1. Scene 1. Action!

I stared at the text for the 5th time since I received it. Pushing the power button in, I closed my phone sliding it in my pocket as I climb up the stairs in Sidharth's home.

Right when I reach his floor, I walk over to his study and stop in my tracks to groan as Aditya comes out from the same door.

"Kaira! Came to meet me?" He smirked when he noticed me.

I rolled my eyes snorting "Your attitude is not worth enough."

"Yours any better?" He gave me a smug look as he steps closer.

"100 layers improved." I smirk "So stay on your level with kilometers of distance."

"You!" He whisper yelled.

"Fuck off!" I spat, before I could move away, the door to Sidharth's study opens, revealing him.

"Kaira, what is this commotion here?" His eyes locked with mine showed slight amusement.

I shrugged "He was blocking my way and speaking nonsense."

"Sid bro, I was asking if she wants to meet you and she's showing me attitude." Aditya glared at me.

"Of course she came for me, Adi, are you forgetting there is no one else in home?" Sidharth said in a soft tone but I caught little snort behind his voice.

When he said nothing in reply I stepped forward to ask "So, why did you want me home today?"

He smiled as he choses his words wisely in front of his cousin "You remember my friends?"

I nod narrowing my eyes slightly "Kabir and Karthik?"

First target, FRIENDS.

"Yes, they are coming over for lunch so—"

I groaned on purpose "Oh, so no one else is home so you called me to serve you guys? That's so sexist of you!"

Sidharth smirked as he took a step closer "Would you rather do something else? I don't mind..."

I interrupted him by bumping my fist with his shoulder slightly as I wink "In your dreams."

He laughed then giving one look over my shoulder towards Aditya, asks me "Has Abhi come with you?"

I nodded "Waiting downstairs."

Just then the bell rings and Sidharth chuckles "That must be them. Hey Adi, would you go down and see if they are settled in living room?"

I don't even turn around to see if he listens, Sidharth's smile was enough for me to know.

Once I hear his footsteps from far I mock my eyebrows at him "So, let's go and entertain your friends."

He gave me a smile and I took it as a yes, turning I hardly took one step out of my place when a pair of strong arms circle around my waist and I was pushed in the wall.

"Sidharth!" I exclaim in surprise.

"Not so fast, I need to tell you details of our plan for today." He whispers against my ear "First tell me, is he looking?"

Controlling my fast heartbeat, I peeked over his shoulder to see Aditya stopping by the stairs to stare at us.

"Hm, eyes full of hate." I mumbled.

Sidharth just grunted against my skin, pulling me closer towards him. Before I could ask if he is doing this PDA for him to leave, his lips connect with my ear piercing.
