Kaira's POV:

Days were coming closer towards the next function, Sangeet. Everyone, like always, was running around doing this and that. Yet they would remove time and practice for their performances.

I didn't even had to beg my brother to perform, his wife was enough to convince him in. I doubted when Shreya told me mom would be performing with my aunts and sisters in a group dance.

Why won't she? It was her love in her younger ages!

Niki and Sam were excited to perform as well. Sree though was hard to convince but at last she agreed to a group dance with them. Preeti was excited to show her moves as well, she talks a lot when she is excited.

Maybe all girls do.

There is no doubt my best friends, Milkshake and Ritz wouldn't leave this opportunity. I'm sure they must have planned something to embarrass me somehow, but without a doubt I could bet, it'll be fun to watch.

Sidharth and I had decided to perform one as well, of course I want to dance in my wedding! In the 2 days time, we spent hours together working on our performance, flirting, stealing kisses, staring and enjoying.

As I take another troll through the living room this evening I see decorations put up, stage set, people working on lightings and chairs for audience.

"Kaira! Go get ready, people will start coming in sometime!" My mother scolded me from across the hall just as I sit down admiring.

Geez alright, I'll go.

On my way to my room I almost collide with my sisters, yup the ones I don't like. Finding me alone they start their taunting.

"Harsha, wasn't she the one going on about how she isn't interested in relationships for now and first wants to make her career?" Varsha smirks.

Harsha completes "I know right, she was the one. It's too bad she has to now leave her dreams to look after a family now. I wonder how is her husband, is he too old for her or too ugly?"

I roll my eyes not wanting to reply as I walk away from the side. They don't have any other work Kaira, forget it.

If they weren't out partying on their own on my mehendi they would be making some other comment today.

I discard the thoughts as I wash my face, walking out I once again admire the lehenga for tonight.

Pink.

I would have said ew if I didn't really like it or I wouldn't have even bought it.

Getting ready with jewellery and my usual makeup and hairstyle I walk down the stairs where the lights were put on and many people had gathered already.
