Sidharth's POV:
Finally. We have the deal!
I can hardly believe it worked out this well.
The folder in my hands feels like it has lifted weight off my shoulders. The deal with the minx is finally done!
Allowing myself to smile, I make my way towards my car. Just as I slide in the backseat with my driver closing it behind me, I see movement from the corner of my eyes.
Vikram chatterjee. Walking in the same building I just left with victory. Smirking I ask my driver to get going.
Kaira was right, this deal had to be done as soon as possible.
I should call her and let her know this good news, I'm sure she'd be happy.
Just as thought, I dialed her number.
"The number you are calling is out of coverage."
Frowning I tried again "The number you are trying is switched off, please try later again."
What the fuck?
"The number you are calling is not receiving. Please try later again."
What is she doing? Why all of sudden her phone is switched off?
I dialled the next person who would know about my love.
"Hey Sid! How did I get lucky to get your call?"
"Abhi, Kaira's number is not reachable, do you know what happened? She didn't tell me."
He laughed "Sid, badi ma had confestigated her phone for the day, she gets only at night. All the rules of grounding you know. I'm sure she must be cooking or cleaning something."
Oh, right. She had told me that night about this.
"Okay, I'll call you next time then." I hang up on him as he starts mumbling nonsense like he is only a messenger of bunny now.
What do I do? I need to talk to her.
Smiling I dial the only person who can help me now.
"Sidharth, hey I'm kind off busy at the moment, is it urgent?"
"Pretty much. Arav, Kaira is not picking up her phone—"
He sighed on the other side "I know, mom has been keeping it with herself. Even I couldn't reach her a few hours ago. I had to call our landline."
Great! The landline!
"Hey-" I started but got interrupted as he continued
"I sent her to some work, she must have come back then or else she would have had it on." He completes.
Work? Must be area inspection.
Just like that I ask him about his new project and he tells me happily. He asks me about my updates and I resist the urge to tell about my deal.
