Chapter - 26 : Instant relationship.

Kaira's POV:

"No. I can't wait anymore." I argued.

Why won't he just listen to me? I'm talking for his benefit after all AND he knows it!

"Fine! Prepare, I'll send you their no." Milkshake finally snapped. I grinned shamelessly.

Quickly I grabbed a pen and paper and started making the points I could argue with the record label owner.

Yes, I was going to get him back in the music industry, but how?

By arguing milkshake's right and adding a but of difference between professional and privacy.

Opening milkshake's chat where he had sent the phone number I took in a deep breath before clicking call.

Ring ring... Ring ring...

Thud thud... Thud thud...

My heart beats speed up with the continuous rings. Finally, at the 3rd last ring, it's picked up by an assistant.

"Hello, I'm Kaira Shetty, Mr. Abhishek Mehra's assistant. Can I please talk to Mr. Vikas Bharve?"

She tells me she'll ask his permission.

I hope he damn well gives it! I'm counting on it.

A few mins and he was on the line. I instantly greet and start telling him my reason of contact.

"But Miss. Shetty its been 2 years, on top of that, what actually happened between them has affected the record label more than anything." He argued cutting me off halfway.

You haven't seen milkshake sir.

"I know sir, but what happened was not between a singer and his record label manager. Instead it was between a boyfriend and person with whom his girlfriend had cheated on him. Sir, this was a private matter among them, if we let private fights affect the business, how are we going to survive? Sir, I've learned from my surroundings, that we should keep our professional life and private life separate, don't you agree?" I reasoned.

Halfway through my speech, there was a knock on the door, a couple of seconds later, Sidharth poked his head in. I smiled and waved to let him in. While he settled himself on the bed, I continued.

There was silence as he thought then he spoke "Our new manager Mr. Shekhar and I will have to think about this Miss. Shetty. It has affected our company more than you know."

"About your advertising partner breaking contract? Sir if that is your concern, I have another offer for you, if you take Mr. Mehra back, I could try and get your company another advertising contract, I have few contacts."

"Oh." He said. I grinned because I know I hit the nail. Finally he sighed "We still need to discuss your offer, Miss. I'll contact you soon." Saying his last words, he hung up.

I couldn't help but sigh frustrated. Running my palm through my hair, I brought it to a side. Sidharth looked up at me with a raised eyebrow.

"How did it go?"

"Not that bad. They want to think about it, discuss and bullshit. I just don't get it! What is there to discuss? That was private life, this is professional life, the difference is clear, just take him in already!" I snapped at the end.
